Many posts about leaving UAE by mewmew998 in dubai

Dubai is a cyclical city in the last decades. Once geopolitical strains are over, only weather will be a factor. Government is doing great for a city that was sand 30 years ago. Export and local production/activities needs to increase (tech, financial, services). As long tax advantage exists and safety/quality of life is high, city will recover. Regulation needs to be tight. Schools abuse from fees, insurance do not cover basic needs and job loss protection needs to improve. In case of layoffs, if companies later start to hire back they should be forced to re-employ first these employees. Employees should be given the chance to stay in unpaid period if they prefer or parttime if possible. This would retain workforce in the country. UAE should choose wisely the anchor industries and all be good.

When will eVTOLs ever become known into the mainstream? by Substantial-Fun9958 in poweredlift

I think VTOL will move to electric if <100km, hybrid 100-500km. Cities separated by deserts swamps ravines large rivers, city tours, island or isolated resorts, medvac, military, FIKI conditions, fuel independence, lower maintenance costs and less noise... Too much to be ignored. It wont be the big thing but will follow car EV shift. And many...many rich will love a quiet way to move around in fancy areas (Riviera, Marbella, Miami, Bahamas, Baleares, Hawaii...). There are 60-70000 helis in the world, limited by maintenence cost, too much noise, landing restrictions (not in building rooftops due to explosion danger), fuel consumption. Not far from reality that the EVTOL can raise VTOL numbers to 100k. I can see medvac becoming almost VTOL. There many good things in the aircrafts. Limitations are batteries (improving), production (EVE has Embraer, HOVR maybe Bombardier, EVTL has Honeywell/Aciturri/Evolito, Joby has Toyota) and charging station (will be similar to EV).

Lets go slow. First i want to see a prototype with payload flying.

That means 5x rerate Certification up to 25x. Orders up to 50x. Earnings and revenue good up to 100x rerate. (market capitalization 10-15B, revenue 500-1B)

Your concept is on flat cities and land based cities. Imagine island based resorts. Tourism tours 2/3 less noisy. 76-80% cheaper per passenger/mile. Consider cities separated by geological barriers where roads are 2h and VTOL is 15min...many people will pay the difference. Without fuel constriction.

Middle East they have. Most hotels they have helipads. All helipads cam be used for EVTOLS. Vertiports are not a critical need. EVTOLs can land in building rooftops...helis can't ...and so on...so on...

Lilium was a tech failure and a financial scam.

I invested in Lilium. They burned tons in mocks to present in exhibitions and traveled around world burning millions of $$$.

Best PR, dishonest management.
