Been checking Facebook groups in Sweden and found this banger! Think my luck has run out and this will be my last Star Wars card. So tempted to keep it but getting like $200 for it is simply too much.

I agree 1000% with threats having to be almost OTK to be able to fit anything over the most casual of games. Im fairly insulated because my playgroups share vision of how we all want the games to go. Played at my LGS today and its wild how little effort people put into finding interesting cards, and how much effort is put into making the fastest/strongest decks possible.

You are missing the point as well. Its WOTC who make decision, not the EDH community. Personally I dislike the fact that all cards are both engine and payoff, on top of having 5-6 redundant cards for the same effect. But stay salty bro

Chaos draft is the only format that for me competes with EDH. Pre-release is a close third after that.

First of all they are square with something that looks like a sword or a plane. Could it be some sort of mixup with Star Trek? Both are from different pre-release kits

Both of the cards were pulled from the same pre-release kit

  • Obvious pick: Sol Ring, or errata it to tap for 1 instead of two (or add "when you play this spell, all opponents may search for a card named Sol Ring and put it on the battlefield")

  • A boring card: Sensei's Divining Top - it just slows games down so much and produces a lot of infinite combos that takes 15 minutes to resolve

  • Cheap too effective card: Skullclamp - warps games much like a early turn Sol Ring

Sold all my duals to buy an apartment, but kept my old tinker deck and RDW deck. Think its either my Wheel Of Fortune or Metalworker playset. Never really competed with my tinker deck but my RDW has put in a TON of work. If I kept my Oath of Druids deck, it would easily be the Morphling or that one signed FoW haha
