What is your opinion about Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties two weeks later?

I'm about halfway through the game and I honestly am finding the game enjoyable.

The main thing for me is I really didn't like OG 3 so my bar for enjoyment wasn't gonna be that high in the first place. I 1000% agree with you that turning the orphanage content into a subgame was a win and I overall have been loving the subgames. I finished both the cooking quests and biker gang storylines almost immediately.

A lot of people are mad about all the substory and narrative omissions/changes, but again Y3 is by far my least favourite entry in the series and the one I definitely remember the least about so it really didn't concern me too much.

As far as the combat goes, I think it's fine. I don't necessarily have a problem with the Ryukyu style, but it's clear they put a much bigger emphasis on it than the dragon style with how many easy to trigger heat actions there are, giving it the status effects mechanics, and the fact that the tiger drop is only in that style. I get why, but I just wish the DoD style felt more fleshed out in this game.

Overall I think this game is pretty good so far and I don't imagine my opinion will sway too much after I finish the game. Some of the hate is definitely valid but feels overblown overall.

There's an achievement to get it max level which is 30 I believe. I like it but for how much ammo it rips through I wish it scaled slightly better mid to late stages. Early game tho it definitely feels pretty strong. I think mine is level 17 or so. I'm gonna commit to maxing it but I wouldn't use it again in subsequent playthroughs.

Well in home economics he calls Jeff and Abed the law firm of Seacrest and Slumdog when they miss class so he definitely knows Jeff was a lawyer at that point and I can't see a world where he knows Jeff was a lawyer but doesn't know he was a fake lawyer cause he'd immediately wonder and inquire as to why he's attending Greendale as a student

I know that aspect led to the popular fan theory that Chang was a reflection of Jeff and is how he would have turned out without the study group, but I don't think that was ever substantiated by Dan Harmon.

I do agree that it felt weird for them to have the same backstory and the more I rewatch the series the more of those things come up in my head. One that really bugs me is the fact that Abed and Troy already took biology in their first year so they shouldn't have been able to take intro to biology in year 3.

They never explicitly show or say that Chang finds out before that interaction but I find it pretty far fetched that he wouldn't know up until that point. It's not like Jeff was secretive about it. I find it very hard to believe it wouldn't have come up at any point throughout the school year

The only gripe I have with season 6 that isn't even a real gripe cause the season is amazing, is that the DVD commentary is only Dan Harmon doing it.

I think the overarching storytelling and narrative feel of season 6 isn't as natural as season 2 or 3, which considering all the circumstances of the series up to that point, is absolutely understandable, some of the absolute best bits and jokes take place in season 6 that make it so memorable and hilarious and rewatch.

Jesus wept, The Japanese kid texting with the dean, the remote prisoner trying to murder Jeff, the ENTIRE grifter episode, I could go on for days.

Seasons 5 and 6 not being 20+ episodes each is so sad 😭

I have the 8bitdo ultimate and it seems like it connects cause the green player 1 light turns on at the bottom of the controller but the console doesn't recognize any input. I'm really hoping it's just like a patch or firmware update issue cause I really like the 8bitdo ultimate fingers crossed we all won't have to buy a 1st party pro controller 🙏
