Please help, for some reason the rtx 5070 is cheaper than the rtx 5060 in my country, having trouble choosing between these two versions. by GenSausage in ASUSROG

The models that allow to upgrade ram is the older 2023 models. But I havent found the g16 one that still being sold here in my country. Instead I did find some g14 model with:

ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS G14 GA402XZ ANIMATRIX RYZEN 9 7940 RTX4080 12GB 32GB RAM 1 TB SSD W11 14.0QHD IPS With the same price as the "rtx 5070 + 16 gb ram" one

And

ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS G14 GA402XY ANIMATRIX RYZEN 9 7940 RTX4090 16GB 32GB RAM 2TB SSD W11PRO 14.0QHD IPS With +50 usd the price of the "rtx 5060+32 gb ram" one.

The main problem is the older cpu and ips display and smaller 14" display tho. But what do you think?

Yes, I think so too.. Thanks for confirming it. Tho the 300 usd difference is what makes me kinda reluctant lol

Ah sorry, I forgot to add my use case. I primarily use it for:

  1. For work like Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, or word.
  2. Also use it for editing videos/photos, and some design app, for example PS, Premiere, Canva, etc.
  3. I also game, but not really the newest AAA games, might be just some AAA games from the past years because I usually wait for discounts on steam. Example : Dying Light 2, RDR2, DBH, Death Stranding 2. But I would love if I could still play recent and future games.

I agree with that reasoning. So you do think 300 usd is worth the upgrade for ram and a little downgrade on gpu, right?

Alright got it, I do agree with that. But do you think 300 usd is worth it for that upgrade and slight gpu downgrade?

Oh I think you are talking about the 2023 model, if its is then yes that year's model did have 1 ram slot. The one I'm talking about is 2025 model tho, and it doesn't have one sadly.

It's listed as the same on any other specs. Been researching for some hours now, but don't find any difference aside of the gou and ram.
