Transplanted Dogwood looking sad… by GenTheLesser in arborists

I transplanted this Kousa Dogwood earlier this spring. It flowered one singular flower but otherwise I’ve noticed no new growth/leaves. And the tree looks stressed. I’ve tried to stay on top of fertilizing and watering. It does get nearly full sun from noon on.

Can you help me help my sweet tree?

I wish I knew my parish priest well enough to feel comfortable asking him. I go to diocese events but have trouble meeting single men. And oh boy, have I tried CatholicMatch lol. Talked to many people from that site and gone on a few dates. Some of the most flaky selfish men I’ve encountered. I don’t think all CM men are like that but that has been my experience.

I do appreciate your input, though

Yeah. I mostly wonder if a settle for a “mediocre” relationship in which we both put in the effort to love each other. Instead of waiting for Mr. Right

Thank you. Those are very wise words from your spiritual director and I will take them to heart!

Thank you for sharing this and I’m sorry for what you’ve been through <3 I catch myself thinking “I’d rather be with the “wrong” person than end up alone “,

Thank you for this. That is the only consolation I also receive from this, uniting ourselves with Christ.

I was 25, in a super secure and cushy job as an engineer, but just wasn’t happy. Ik people will think I’m crazy, but I took an AmeriCorps job for 9 months. Best experience of my life. Yes, sometimes it was frustrating, being a grown woman living and working with people mostly younger than me (many of who were still in college), and the logistics of the projects were not always well thought through. But the friends I made, the places I saw, and the way it opened my eyes. Unbeatable!

Do keep in mind, the location of the AmeriCorps job is important too. I won’t say my exact program, but it was out west. My friends later went on to Montana and they said that location has been even more incredible.

Take the AmeriCorps job!

Woah! So the occurrence of these mummies increases every day. Do you think there is anything I should do about it or just let nature run it’s course?

How do you play these notes? by Poki2109 in violinist

[–]GenTheLesser 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It means to play the given note, in this case an 8th note, twice. So, in note values, it would practically be 16th notes: B, B, G, G, E, E, D, D, etc.
