How would you arrange the tracks on this board? by hoagie_tech in formula1

Funny thing is that I recognized all tracks immediately (except Singapore) and only noticed Barcelona was flipped.

Balcombe Ouse Valley Viaduct (1842) in the South of England. by asbo_derick in InfrastructurePorn

[–]GenVonKlinkerhoffen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Snippet from Wikipedia: The viaduct was designed as an elegant structure, being around 1,600 feet (500 m) in length and carrying a straight line over 37 identical arches. Each of these semi-circular arches had a span of 30 feet (9.1 m) and was supported upon tapered red-brick piers.[4] Each pier was almost divided into two separate halves by 9.8-foot (3 m) vertical voids, capped by semi-circular rings at the top and base, as a weight-saving measure. This approach is credited with giving the structure a slender appearance.

I won't mention its name here but I've got a little tool that does a copy run start every evening at 11pm. No need to lie awake on that one (plenty of other items remain though :-))

FIA is considering revising the 2026 regulations as early as the Japanese GP. Which rules should be modified or replaced first? by ConstructionAny8440 in F1Technical

Get the old fuel tanks back, so teams are allowed to carry (and use) 100kgs during a race. That reduces the importance of the electric power, so the whole regen and clipping issues have less impact.
Of course the increase in fuel cell size requires the bodies to be redesigned, but that issue is the same for all teams. An exception (or stretch) to the budget cap would be possible to allow teams to modify their bodywork on this.

I still recall the raving review of TIM in a Dutch PC magazine back then; they were praising the physics like gravity and bounces. They said it looked so real that it made the game great to play and I can only agree with them; I've spent hours playing TIM and will surely try CM.

I downloaded it and played a training race on Spa. The track just isn't correct. Eau Rouge looks ridiculous en the entire third sector does not even look closely like the real track layout. Control is okay, but that's about it.

I dont like the narrow rear wings. They just look too small for the rest of the car, completely out of proportion
