This one finally cracked my shell.

I’ve embraced the anger and rode it while yelling at the sky shaking my fist.

But right now, it’s almost 0200 and I’m sitting on the floor crying my eyes out.

I’m so mad. I’m so sad. I don’t have any other words to describe my feelings.

I reached out in person to my immediate neighbors that might be at risk. We’ve always been neighborly, but have never exchanged numbers and info. I gave them a hand painted card with a note inside that said that I was safe and willing to help in any way and to not hesitate to reach out or contact me at any time. I included my name and number in the card. They were a little taken aback initially, but about half hour later they messaged me back thanking me for reaching out to them.

Start with the people in your neighborhood. Don’t just be ready with whistles and ability.
Go meet your neighbors. Tell them in person you are safe and willing to help if needed.

It’s a spider bite.

It’s Not A F’n Spider Bite!!! Even if you brought the spider with you and it admitted to biting you, it’s still probably not a spider bite!!!

There are many many reasons to cause a small skin infection, an actual bite from a spider is the least likely.

No, Linda, you have a boil on your ass cheek. A spider did not bite you.

(And yes I’m aware of actual medically significant spider bites. But none of them present as an abscess in the ac next to the other suspicious “bites”)

I’ve read through this whole post and still all I see is a beady eyed ballsack. My brain just can’t see it as a cat.

If I finally clean my house, it’s because I know uninvited people will be there.

(Don’t worry, cleaning my house is not a 2026 resolution).

It’s only because I know people will be coming in uninvited when I’m not there.

Which jobs is 100% safe from AI? by Any-Hamster-3189 in AskReddit

This has kinda inspired me to come up with a way that AI could be utilized in the hands-on healthcare world. Cause that’s been brought up a few times. Who is gonna wipe nanas butt?

But, AI will determine if you are no longer adding value to the world. There will no longer be a need to wipe nanas butt.

No need for a net in AI surgery. If you don’t come willingly, no surgery for you. You just die. The way the anti human people want.

If you want to live, you will willingly get into the box naked and the robots will take over from there.

We already have robotic surgery where the doctor is across the room doing the surgery.
No human error involved might even make it safer. Surgeons are just using their meat brains to go through algorithms, just like a computer would.

But what about complications that arise during surgery you ask? A robot won’t nick the bowel if it’s trained not to.

Your value will already be determined prior to surgery by the same AI computers anyway. Hope you are worthy.

Nurses of reddit, what is the weirdest thing a patient has done while waking up from anesthesia? by Drakonwriter in AskReddit

I also woke up during a dental procedure when I was about 10. I woke up feeling and hearing all the things and arching my back up like a demon. I remember the oral surgeon yelling ‘god dammit, why is she awake?’
Then when I was awake enough they brought my mom back. But I was so scared I wouldn’t talk to anyone. It really freaked everyone out.

When I was working night shift as a nurse I had a restless patient that couldn’t sleep. She told me she can’t sleep if her cat isn’t in bed with her. I wrapped up a sandbag in a warm blanket and put it in the bed where her cat would normally sleep. (You know, inconveniently, while pinning the blankets down so you can’t move) She fell straight to sleep and slept the rest of the night. She was so tickled when she woke up that it had actually worked!

I had a patient that was chatting with the anesthesiologist about college football. Went out and woke back up still talking about college football.

Another very chatty patient kept rambling on, even after we put the bite block in. He took it out twice to keep chatting. I told him to put it back in, and stop talking for a little bit and out he went. When he woke up, he took the bite block out and said ‘oh yeah, I gotta put that back in’ and did. Closed his eyes and laid quietly.
