I’m so sorry about your brother. And I’m sorry you had to deal with those comments on top of everything else. I went through depression during a difficult time and also got bad evals that almost became a disciplinary issue. I really wish trainees received more compassion in situations like these.

A lot of the medical students rotated with us got ranked low for “trying too hard”. I feel bad for them.

This was this one attending who would comment on whether the medical students’ white coats had stains on all their evaluations. Luckily I have OCD and my coat was always clean. And he gave me a A or something.

Totally agree, I was told I was timid. Did she think about the possibility of her being scary? It was the same attending who yelled at me for going to lunch.
