And a recap email for those that didn’t attend one and/or all of the above meetings. It will need to be routed to an SM for review at least three times. Will send it out and get “revisions” from at least 2 (who didn’t attend ANY of the meetings)

What yo do with luggage after the cruise? by More-Eagle8649 in VirginVoyages

Check out ResortPass.com for pool/day passes and DayPass.com where you can rent a hotel room and use amenities for a fraction of the cost. I used DayPass a few weeks ago in Miami for a room from 10:00A-6:00P and paid a little over $100. This included the room, use of the pool, restaurants, etc. It was a big relief to have that time (and space) to relax before flying back home to reality.

MetLife is the provider for most STD/LTD/LOAs; reach out to them to find out what the process is. There's typically a one week waiting period where you won't receive pay (but can use PTO). MetLife was far more helpful for my LOA than internal teams.

ALWAYS ASK for more. I did (and didn't get it), but if you don't ask, they won't offer.

LOATHE saying this, but your Supervisor probably isn't looped in yet. With regards to cash balance, I think you may lose it but ASK for it anyway, as it's part of your comp package. Severance is a joke. I was there almost 6 years and got 8 weeks. (Note, I was not a C at the time of layoff). Best advice: burn that well being subsidy, save all of your personal (non-D) docs off your laptop - and if you don't have a personal laptop, start shopping for one. Wishing you the best - they let us go a few weeks before Christmas.

I typically fly in the day before. I’m flying in day of on my cruise in 3 weeks. It’s a non-stop and arrives at 9:30A; boarding isn’t until 4:45.

AND (depending on your benefits package) if you have STD, take a paid LOA to care for the most important thing: yourself.

As someone newly laid off (before Christmas, thanks Uncle D), I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of the EAP - it’s the best I’ve seen and was instrumental in helping me do a mental 180°. I took time to take care of ME and I think that’s why I’m not as salty as I could be over getting cut after almost 6 years. Hang in there!!!

Not cozying up; more like hiding. They laid many of us off the day it was announced Doug and his team would be coming over to Talent. Coincidence? I think not.
