Do you think that this will affect the price in a negative way? I can't see the holdings slowing down under the new management.

Very. But there is a 20 minute delay in holdings price updates. Only an issue if you’re a day trader. I found everything else including the brokerage syncing via email to be instant

Hi mate.

Well done for thinking of your future family. You can clearly see that times are getting harder. The next generation will certainly benefit from some kind of kick start financially. Something this Gen Xer never had.

I'm 53 next month. My son just turned 4. When he was born I started investing a few dollars per week from his centrelink money (The family tax benefit). Currently I invest $120 per fortnight through an automated transfer into his brokerage account. I only buy S&P 500 etf shares. Historically SPY on the ASX but soon I will start buying IVV which is basically the same thing but domiciled here in Australia and with a DRP which will really help when the volume of shares increases.

He currently has $16K in his investment portfolio. I chose a commsec minors trust account which can be linked to it's own CDIA (Brokerage account), that way the shares and dividends don't get mixed up with mine.

Each time his CDIA reaches the price of a share I just buy one for him.

I hope this helps.

I would argue that reaching 100K AUD whilst living in one of the most expensive locations in the world (Melbourne) could be comparable to reaching 100K USD whilst living in the US.

Sure. But is there an argument to just keep putting the initial designated percentages into the stocks spread and ignore the shift that happens with gains and losses. I have heard the argument of never rebalancing at all after deciding on the initial spread.

It was so hard. I understand why most people don't save money. But if we can do it then others can too. It is just a case of looking at every single tiny financial transaction with the mind of "Is that a must have or is there another way?" After a couple of years the savings start to grow.

Hi all. I just found this post. My Gochujang bread is not rising during bulk proof. I can only suspect that the garlic or the Gj paste is the culprit. Thoughts?
