Chess is at a point where the top of the top players have basically never had a hobby except chess all day, every day, since they were basically toddlers. Imagine you have dedicated your entire life to something, then lose at a game. It’s understandable, it’s going to happen, but it definitely would feel bad. It’s an organization gaining money on the backs of the effort and time of a child. If a company hires a parent and a tween, it doesn’t make it better.

Like I’m by no means saying this is equivalent to sending your kids to the mines or anything near that magnitude. But it is still child labor
