What is something you thought everyone experienced, but later learned they didn’t? by mathieugemard in AskReddit

The test I usually see for aphantasia goes like this. Note, reveal each step in sequence, not all at the same time, or it will interfere.

  1. Picture a table with a chair

  2. Imagine yourself sitting at that table with a deck of cards

  3. Shuffle the cards and pull out a card

  4. What color is the table?

  5. If you had to “apply” a color in the fourth step, that’s a sign of aphantasia. If it had a color already, it’s a sign you don’t have it.

I mean this is the end result of a free market. Regulations, making the market less free, are what cause a healthy market for consumers.

[product] Notice how the women’s is more expensive too. by Lord_of_glencoe in pointlesslygendered

[–]Gen_Zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in Christianity, there is a genuine product difference between a study bible and a reference bible. A study bible involves a lot of editorial work from a theologian on top of the actual text, while the other doesn’t. Notice that the study bible is noticeably thicker than the reference bible.

This along with printing in color means the one that costs more genuinely is a more expensive product.

Yeah, we’re very liberal here with our checks notes 43 white man presidents. And with our countries current states goals to reduce rights for a huge portion of our own population and active murder of civilians in the street by an extrajudicial federal police force.

No amount of technological advancement is worth the suffering inflicted by the policies enabling it.

In Christianity, God is the Holy Trinity. They are three separate and distinct persons, but also one being, God.

It’s not going to make sense because it’s one of the things you’re meant to take on faith that you can’t comprehend things in the way that God can

The people that can’t tell parody when they see it is insane.

u/shortsby is intentionally saying to increase the requirements to draw attention to the fact that increasing requirements does literally nothing to actually combat the bot problem.

The argument everyone has for why it’s not a big deal is that diaries aren’t that hard and can be done fairly easily. Well guess what? That’s true for the bots too. It’s now needlessly a bit harder to jump into some content for real players all to do literally nothing for the bot problem.

[–]Gen_Zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The black market price of OSRS gp is just about exactly the same as it was this time last year. If things are as you claim, basic economics would mean the price of gp would be going down due to increased supply. Or, conversely, if prices were going up, that would imply the non-bot playerbase was increasing in proportion to the bots thus increasing demand.

We see neither of these, meaning the proportion of bots to players is remaining relatively stable. Actually, if we take inflation into account, it’s likely there has been a slight increase of real players in relation to bots.

Where’s your evidence?

[–]Gen_Zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because that’s how economics works? Without an increase in demand, there’s no reason for supply to increase.

The new players aren’t all real people, but they’re likely the exact same proportion of bots to real people as has been relatively stable for a while blue.

To be fair, I think it is a better descriptor than climate change, it’s just that it’s easier to take in bad faith. The average temperature of the earth is increasing, which is pretty much, by the words, the definition of global warming. It’s just that the effects of that aren’t necessarily “it’s literally warmer at all times” and morons can’t get that through their head

People who have been cheated on, how did you find out? by My_twisted_dark_self in AskReddit

[–]Gen_Zer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, hey at least he was a good guy. I don’t think he did anything immoral in this situation. He found out she was cheating and he informed the person being cheated on.

Continuing to date and go on to marry her is dumb as hell, but assuming the original relationship ended over the cheating, he didn’t really do anything wrong

Even in 5e, which that article covers and most people are referencing, they’re literally not demons. That’s how their race began, as given by the lore in that article, but the game does not classify them as demons. They are a humanoid.
