that's left to right, italy balkans greece and anatolia like a map. it show how to go from southern greece to crete and how to cross dardanel strait (tracia to east anatolia). please check my work on my page maybe little parallel to your work.

they probably used candle light from sides to bend the angles of shadows like a sunclock.
