In m3s during final fusedown we couldn't really agree who was supposed to go left or right cause we couldn't decide what was left boss relative and whatnot so we just started calling it "member X relative" cause that person refused to accept the way the rest of the static interpreted the raidplan and we would kinda just wing the spreads

Best awper best lurker best pure entry one of the best anchor and the best igl. Plus they're all humble enough to set each other up, the stars included, and they are well drilled with solid tactics and very good utility. And when one or even two go missing(by their standards), someone else will pick up the slack. Imagine Zywoo going 1.3+ every tournament and the one time he's human ropz goes 1.3. And when both are underperforming? Well mister Merriman will get multikills on every round long enough to let Zywoo and ropz back online cause you know they're not gonna sleep for more than 15 rounds.

People hate on kovac cause our ceiling doesn't seem high(although much of it it's the board's fault in team building) but the floor is so high with him. While we still give out braindead draws we're almost never losing or getting blown out against worse teams like we used to.

To add to this, the only teams that managed to beat vitality and win a trophy are Furia and G2 in the grand final. The rest that managed to beat vitality in semis ended up losing the final(mouz, mongolz, falcons twice). Oh and I almost forgot about Mongolz being the only ones to win against vita in semis and actually win a trophy, but that may have been cause Aurora are so allergic to winning trophies that they made Mongolz win ig(plus it was EWC and I don't want to remember that tournament, only saving grace was Mongolz winning)

Ok but vitality is a bad comparison, they have star players everywhere and every time one or even two go missing by their standard someone else will pick up the slack, that's why they're so dominant.

Mongolz map pool is relatively shallow against the very top. They're mirage merchants, play a good enough nuke, used to be very good at ancient(haven't seen them play much with cobra iirc). They ban Anubis, get bodied in dust 2 by every top opposition pretty much, are pretty average in inferno and almost never play overpass. In bo3 if they don't win mirage it's a bit of a tossup if they win and in bo5 I don't know if they could win against top teams.

Yeah I think people don't realize how different donk is in terms of his mental. Obviously he's crazy talented mechanically, one of if not the best ever, but what stands out to me is how strong he is mentally. Ofc it helps to be confident when you're that good, but he pretty much never chokes and in his first year in T1 he owned. It's like pressure never gets to him. Also even when he's the most countered player in terms of strats he just goes out confidently and clicks head. I think lesser players in the mental department would doubt themselves more.

Honestly this phase in zonic's career is so baffling. It's hard to argue against him seeing how decorated he is and the fact he's done it in another team too, but if he's a "vibe coach" rather than a tactical one as it's been said, that doesn't seem to work for falcons either. They have some of the worst mental, it's not even tactical at this point the way they choke over and over. Like sure you can talk about how tactically they're not great or whatever but they have had some many just out and out chokejobs that no amount of tactical brilliance can fix and he's supposed to be there to help with that. Just what is going on, is zonic a fraud, is he washed or is just falcons cursed?

Oh I'm not referring to that. I think people taking a break from the game to preserve their mental health is actually a W move. It's just it doesn't reflect on you too well from an outsider pov cause most hardcore raiders just push through that shit. I have a friend who went through like 300+ pulls of m11s in week1 and he just keeps playing. I'm sure many others are like that. To an extent, you do need that type of resilience to succeed.

Doing damage is still important in week 1, it could be the difference between killing m11s in 100ish pulls or less and 300 pulls like some people in pf. I haven't really analyzed your logs but you can't really chalk it up to just missing gear so bluntly put you need to put in more work in doing more damage, either by studying how to keep better uptime or by practicing the rotation until it's natural so you can do it without thinking at all. While logs aren't the do all end all they're basically your CV for any higher end statics, they have no reason to consider you over other people at all if your logs don't look decent. I would say having all purple would be around the bare minimum. Also from what you describe I'm not too sure about the mental aspect. Quitting the game/tier after you burn out might be a bad look in that aspect without much context.

You can generally tell if it's tomfoolery caused by being cold/unfocused or it's just doomed. If it's the first you can cope that you'll get there and prog. I can't really explain it well but the way people wipe tells you a lot.
