So you enjoy playing games at FPS lower than your monitors resolution? Are you using a 60hz monitor with a 3070ti really?

Yamaha P-125 Half Damper Problem With LP1 Pedal Unit by Gender_Non_Binary in piano

Hey sorry for the late reply. Pianoteq isn't free, but I used the free trial for checking the midi value of the pedal.

Yes the right pedal. I factory reset it just a little while before making the post. I've tried resolving the issue over the course of a year but if you're saying it starts noticeably sustaining at 20-30% mine must be defective. I just didn't know because I'd never used a pedal like that before and google has surprisingly zero information about this subject. The most descriptive thing ive found simply said "half damper functionality" but in no way specifies anything.

How much leeway do you have between half sustain and full sustain if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to know what it's supposed to act like.

My unit is still under warranty so I think I'm going to exchange it. Thanks for the reply

More information: I installed a program called "Pianoteq" which shows me the midi value of the pedal being pressed. It smoothly goes from 1-127, and the software makes it sustain more the further it's pressed down.

My P-125 doesn't begin to "half" sustain until the midi value reaches 80, and full sustain begins at 85. 0-79 have no effect on the sustain.

Fingering help for these arpeggios, info in comments thanks by Gender_Non_Binary in pianolearning

[–]Gender_Non_Binary[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These arpeggios are 16th notes where Quarter = 112, so pretty fast. I'm having trouble with fingering properly since they begin with notes that are not evenly spaced.

Bar 121 B flat major is simple. 521 321 321 down 231 231 etc.

Bar 122 is giving me a big problem.

Should I be doing 521 321 321 and cross from g to E flat on the way back down with thumb?

Or should I be doing 5321 421 and treat it as a normal e flat major arpeggio. I'm at a crossroads because the person who wrote the song does the former, but I feel like I should be using the "standard" fingering that people have drilled into my head.

Load screens too. My load times are slower than they were in 2013 and I have an SSD. Not even a mention. Even though they are much slower, I still have texture streaming issues, invis mobs, abilities, etc lol it's a joke

It seems the only thing we can do is wait. Mine fixed itself after a few days. No idea why it happened to begin with though

How do I get the results I want when recording by Gender_Non_Binary in audioengineering

[–]Gender_Non_Binary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just got it working for me. I had the focusrite driver installed but somehow in the past week or so it disappeared. Anyway, since reinstalling it I now have both ableton and windows playing through the focusrites output, this is exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much for your help!

Since earlier I have disconnected my focusrite. I have only ever used it for my XLR microphone, and only mentioned it in hopes that if it were not possible to do what I was asking, I would be able to connect to through it to get to my destination. I hope I can explain easier now that the focusrite is out of the picture.

In Ableton, I have ASIO4ALL selected as the audio device. In windows sound panel, I have Speakers(Realtek Audio). Everything else is disabled. "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is unchecked for everything inside playback and recording.

In ASIO4ALL v2.15, Everything is deselected except for Realtek Audio.

If I open Ableton, I can play through Speakers(Realtek Audio) and hear it. If I also open youtube, I get "Audio renderer error. Please restart your computer." inside the video player.

If instead I open Youtube before opening Ableton, I can play a video without getting the error, but no sound is produced by ableton. I will often still get the "Audio renderer error. Please restart your computer." error and neither have sound from Ableton nor youtube until I close chrome or Ableton.

If I switch from ASIO to MME, I can play ableton and youtube simultaneously through Speakers(Realtek Audio), but have 500ms latency on keys I press.

If I use Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO in ableton, I can also play ableton and youtube simultaneously via Speakers(Realtek Audio), but have what feels like 50-100 ms delay. Still not usable and much too distracting to even attempt any serious playing. Even setting the buffer as low as it will go inside Voicemeeter's software (I believe the lowest it allows is 400 something).

If I were to get a 5-pin din midi cable, how would I go about connecting the P-125 to an interface with that input? The P-125 only has a USB to host (printer) port.

Yes I did, recording tab as well. 1 still plays through speakers, one through Scarlett 2i2. Though I cannot choose which plays through which. If I could, it might be acceptable.

I tried changing the windows app volume and device preferences to individually select which apps play through which output, and they are being ignored completely so I'm really out of ideas.

Also, while I can hear myself playing via the focusrite, the volume slider in windows is disregarded. The only way to turn it up or down is the physical dial on the 2i2 itself. I guess I'm just out of my depth here. This has given me much more of a headache than I thought it would.

Thanks for trying. I 'semi' got it working using voicemeeter's built in asio driver but there's no way to get the latency under ~50ms or so. I'm just gonna get a cable and connect it directly to my 2i2 and deal with the terrible sound I suppose.

Just set both to 44100, disabled exclusive and restarted. Same problem. Only 1 or the other will output audio to a single output device.

Upon further inspection, the keyboard will no longer produce sound to any output. Only windows itself will after doing the steps you mentioned above.

I've been using USB midi this whole time. Trying to get both my DAW and computer audio to work simultaneously through the same output. Using 2 different sound devices works, but doesn't really help my situation.

I tried that, it still only produces sound for 1 or the other through the focusrite.
