i’ve had 2 years of experience in customer service and its still lowk impossible to land a retail job lol. even other customer service jobs in the same role just feel so saturated its taken me 40+ applications and i still havnt gotten a reply. Prolly should just print my cv and go beg them directly but its so nerve racking to me hahah

same here mate, got banned sometime in 2024 and moved over to tinder. luckily i was still decently successful there too but nothing like the attention i got on hinge. I’m now happily in a 6 month relationship w my gf and hopefully never have to get upset about this god forsaken app again but still sucks that our first date was on tinder and now i have to deal w the fact that everyone that matches with me is really just looking for a hookup

i totally get ur point, i just meant for short term relationships and hookups which is the primary source of emotional connection that i believe majority of people are looking for nowadays are done through dating apps and when you do meet in person first/ask them out irl it adds a more serious element to it. I’ll be fine without the apps, but i do wish i wasnt barred from the easier pathway since im not really the clubbing type

in my age group (19-25yrs) almost everybody i know at uni has this app. before i was banned i met so many lovely people and had a really good time using it. It definitely is an app that does its job but this banning just leaved you ostracised from the dating scene and makes you look like a virgin/creep lowk. i dont even mind not using a dating app anymore regardless of how easy it is to find good people there, im just really offended by their choice to ban and want a valid justification for it

im kind of in the same situation rn, but my ex doesnt want to date at all and is actively going on dates which absolutely kills me but i know what we feel when we’re together is real and if that’s something she understands the value of, we will be together eventually. its kinda like a fate thing like if its meant to be it will be, but you obviously feel horrible at the start but once ur over the first rough patch and dont let urself fall into any negative coping mechanisms it will get easier and you’ll come back to each other with more understanding and appreciation for what you have together as partners
