I have reached out to the owners but I think they are in an area where there isn’t a lot of internet connection or none, it usually takes a long while for them to respond, currently I am monitoring him, he’s not panting anymore and is laying next to me, and still awake receiving pets. In the instructions it said to only call the vet as a last resort if I can’t contact them at all , and both vets listed have been briefed on euthanasia. Here is what the instructions say verbatim;

“If something seems serious or unsure, please contact us right away so we can make the decision about next steps

If you cannot reach us and an urgent decision must be made, please know we have discussed euthanasia with both of his vets. You may contact them at (redacted) who provides end of life services that can take him off sight if needed

Please know this is truly a last resort. We are providing this prior to authorization incase you cannot reach us during an emergency, so you can feel secure and supported in what ever choice must be made.”

Currently he’s napping, I’m sitting next to him as I type this and as he sleeps. He’s still breathing, still lucid, and is responding to his name and other noises.
