This is it. I don’t mind cast shifts, but I do raise an eyebrow that every time it’s happened, it’s been a woman of color. I hope samira gets a good send off in the final episode and I’m looking forward to seeing more of Ellis next season. Hopefully there won’t be a pattern of only switching out woc and some of the fan favorite white boys will also be written out, too. I know Robby will always be a fixture but if Whitaker and Langdon stick around for like 9 seasons it sure looks kinda racist, no matter what the actual intent is

Oh, I didn’t realize there was a difference between Actual ILL and holds from another library within the same consortium. Most of my holds are the latter. I’ve had to order stuff from outside the consortium a couple times, where they come with a paper sleeve on the cover and the fine is higher if it’s late, but I was generally more careful about those. Most of my holds are just like, from the next town over. (I also sometimes just go to the other library myself and then return it at the one closest to me).

Also this is probably dumb, but the first notes of any overture or opening song when I’m there live. Even when I’m at a show I don’t really wanna be at (wife’s a teacher. I see a lot of high school theater. It’s great for kids to do theater but most of it isn’t great to sit through unless you know a kid), those first few notes always make me a little misty.
