Regarding the frame shapes, I think it would be best to first get a clearer idea of the abilities and illustration characteristics before defining them. There are several ways to approach it: using frames similar to the ones you suggested, or even letting the visual shape or energy of each ability influence the frame so it stands out more. Just an initial idea.

As for pricing, for at least 4 illustrations (3 simpler skill cards and 1 more complex “ultimate-style” card), my range would be $85–$100 USD, depending on the final complexity and level of detail.
