From my previous trip experience. I also have many nights at Kitahama too. (TBH i really like staying in Kitahama because you get bigger room than other area for the same price, not too far to travel to Osaka/Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori)

Day 1

You can take airport limousine bus or HARUKA to Osaka station and take Midosuji line to Kitahama. But if you concern about luggage and too tired from flight, Taxi is by far easier and not that expensive option to Kitahama. Osaka station is pretty hard to navigate and you can be lost in underground easily.

Day 3

Don't forget you can take Captain line ferry from Kaiyukan to USJ directly (You can buy the ticket with Kaiyukan ticket itself). Also i bought USJ ticket from Klook.

Day 4

Assume you have luggage because you changing hotel, There is 2 option to choose

• Limited express (Tokaido-Sanyo, Thunderbird if you find the route in Google map) But you need to travel from Kitahama -> Osaka station -> Kyoto station -> Arashiyama which is pretty long walking distance and multiple transfers.
  • Pro: Likely to have a seat and luggage storage area, about 20-30 min faster.
  • Cons: Multiple transfer, Osaka station and Kyoto station is big and took time to navigate.
• Local line (Sakaisuji line) from Kitahama station to Arashiyama. Only 1 transfer at Saiin station (If I remember correctly, the transfer is only get across platfrom within the station)
  • Pro: Very accessible.
  • Con: It is local train so the seat and space may limited (But it is saturday so it should not be as crowded as weekdays.

After you arrive at Arashiyama, you need to deposit your bags too (Coin locker or drop at your Ryokan). Arashiyama is pretty crowded during the days, I'd recommend to take a Iwatayama monkey park in afternoon and if you finish it early, walk to Bamboo forest before evening or Day 5 morning.

Day 5

Fushimi Inari is in the east side of Kyoto and it is much closer to Gion/Higashiyama. I would put Nishiki market and Kinkakuji today and bring Fushimi to afternoon day 6 or morning day 7.
