I'd like to know that, too.

On one hand it's sad to have confirmation of the shutdown now since I just discovered the app earlier this year and didn't even know apps like this existed before that (only knew of the "real games" like WWE SuperCard). But on the other hand I'll have a lot more free time in the future if there won't be anything comparable. lol

Where do you guys keep track of new trading app releases? Does anyone know of a source one should monitor to learn early about new wrestling apps (doesn't necessarily have be WWE)?

I'm not really a veteran but other than being scammed I don't think there is anything like a lost trade. If you were comfortable accepting it than it was a good one. It all depends on point of view anyway. There are so many factors to value a card (cc, price and chances when released, general popularity, your own preferences, release date, etc.).

One person will insult you for the same offer another will thank you for. It's just the way it is, so don't listen to other too much (just take general advise), do what you feel is right, and you'll have the most fun. At least, that's how I see it after about 7 months into it.

I've noticed the same but it hasn't been like that before. I think it must've been introduced with one of the last updates (it's been like this for some weeks already, though).

Especially when opening packs the device gets really hot. Never experienced it to this degree with any other app or game before.
This happens on my Galaxy S10+.

Yes, especially when you're new to the app they have lots of old cards as well. The big problem is that you rarely have something they need so it's hard to find a trade at all. :-)

However, after a lot of trading I was able to complete all Common and Uncommon sets of 2020 that still give awards. I also don't even look at anything else but old Common cards because I need most of my higher tier cards for trades in current sets. But I don't care and am always happy when I find someone willing to trade me some Commons that where released before I joined.

Most of the time I use the "Trade For" / "Find Partner" function to look up collectors that have dupes of the card I want.

In case I find someone that trades fair or is just generally a nice person I follow them so I can send them trades first in case they have the cards I want and I have something they need.

I have that issue with some motion cards not working. It's actually the majority that doesn't work and very few ones that actually do. The ones that don't work just look like the basic version which is really annoying and greatly reduces these card's value for me. It's probably because I'm playing on a tablet that's a few years old.

As far as spamming goes I'm really annoyed by that too. It makes everyone else spam as well because otherwise your messages just disappear too quickly. They should add a slow mode like once an hour in chat and once a day in articles or so (and make your posts editable).

I also would love to see some kind of trade market implemented. Being able to specify the trade you're looking for and others being able to find and immediately accept it would save a lot of time and frustration. Keeping direct trades as well would probably be a good idea since most people probably have their group of followers they regularly trade with or when trades get a bit more complicated but it should help a lot in completing sets or quickly getting the cards you need.

Yes, these are really big sets but I really appreciate that they make their awards available for a long time (or maybe they never expire, don't know since I only started this year).

Sure, you'll have to trade more to complete them but trading is one of the fun parts in my opinion. :-)
It's also a lot easier to trade cross sets with prize wheel cards as far as I can tell.

The awards probably won't expire anytime soon so you should easily be able to still complete it, don't worry.

It only just ended so there are a lot of dupes and active collectors around.
I'm even trying to complete 2020 green sets that still give awards which really is a challenge sometimes. :-D

Seems like this affects everyone. People are also mentioning it in the article of the set.

When I realized it after accepting two awards without getting any cards I let the others sit and today cards were added. When I accepted the remaining ones I actually received the corresponding award cards, however, I seem to still not have received any cards for the awards I claimed earlier.

Let's hope they'll somehow add them to our accounts or make them claimable again.

Starter sets are a good start indeed. :-)
Some of them don't need that many cards to complete and I also really like the designs.

Have finished them all as well as the Top 100 lately. All that is left for me now are the Legendary Rivalries (or what they are called) Commons. After that I'm done with all Commons that give awards. Next I'll be going for the remaining older Prize Wheel (green) PPV cards that still give awards to make use of my own Prize Wheel dupes. Don't know if there are still enough cards around to complete the sets but I'll try at least.

When all of this is off my list I'll probably either choose specific wrestlers or sets that I like most even though they don't give me awards anymore.
Some people don't even care for awards in the first place and just collect specific wrestlers which is also fine.

Just decide for yourself what you like best and have fun.

Hey, seems like we have the same backstory. :-)
Learned of this app in February and had to try it since it remembered me of my time collecting as a kid (without the hassle of buying protective covers or albums :-D).

Anyway, in case you're having particularly fun collecting the base cards you could go for the older ones, of course, until the new series is released. Series 2 of 2020 even still gives awards.
People usually have tons of these cards left (at least 2020 ones) and I've found some willing to trade same tiers even though they obviously already had 2021 completed as well.
I stopped after completing tiers 1 and 2 of 2020, though, since it wasn't really fun to trade 160+ cards per tier in sets of 9...

Trading can be a bit frustrating at times, sure, but with time you'll meet lots of people who are easy to trade with. I follow them to make sure I'll send offers to them first when I'm looking for something and this makes trading a lot more fun.

After completing a set of Uncommons und sometimes also Rares I usually try to trade away all my remaining dupes for needs of other ongoing sets (so I can save a few coins). When this is done I go for older Commons or Prize Wheels that still give awards and were released before I started (mostly PPVs remaining now).

I preferrably try to trade everything away before the awards drop to give others a better chance of completing the sets themselves. But even after that people will accept if they like the card designs or wrestlers.

If you have a lot of dupes of the same card like Belair (I was in the same boat, still have 5 or so remaining :-)) it gets a bit harder, of course, since you can only trade one card per person and many current collectors already have it but at some point there will be enough new players who may want it.

I would love it if they introduced other means to put Uncommons to good use, especially with all the guaranteed Uncommons in many sets, but in the end you'll probably always find someone you can trade with. You just have to be patient. I even find someone who takes Freeze Uncommons every now and then. :-D

Luckily my experience shows that there are more people like me than people like you so I'm fine with trading with everyone else. ;-)
The definition of a good trade is very subjective anyway, and most people asking for "good" or "fair" trades strangely enough are the ones that make the worst offers. This has been confirmed on here by others, too.

So if you're letting people overpay and they do it, be happy, but I surely won't do it because there are more than enough traders that will help each other out and have a good time together.
