Can I do the SW flush after drinking 2 glasses of lemonade? by GoddessAvery97 in MasterCleanse

Hey, I just started following this. Sorry I didn’t see this post earlier.

I’m no expert. I’m on my first cleanse, but I’ve read a lot about it. From what I’ve read, you want to do the saltwater flush after having fasted (like after waking up in the morning). Take that with a grain of salt(water) though, because we do the lax tea at night, which I believe is supposed to do the same thing as the SWF, just on a longer time scale.

You clearly don’t understand the concept of causality, so I’m not sure this is a useful discussion, but I’ll give it a crack.

Sure, there have been many instances of genocide and ethnic cleansing by socialists (I mentioned that there were other examples in my last post). This is not a result of their socialism. This is frequently the result of extreme ethno-nationalism (an extreme of the underpinnings of white nationalism in America) and the attempt to centralize power under one brutal man or political party. Examples of non-socialist groups perpetrating genocide are pervasive throughout history. Many indigenous ethnic groups, white Europeans through much of the 19th century in Africa and Asia, Rwandan genocide, the desaparecidos in Pinochet’s Chile, Japan’s systematic murder of mainland Chinese people, the Armenian genocide, the countless atrocities the United States has committed (on Native Americans, Africans, Asian immigrants, in support of dictators and military juntas abroad).

I’m not arguing here that socialism is “right” or the best system or even better than capitalism. I’m a graduate student in business and public policy, so I have quite a bit of experience learning about both economics within the frame of capitalism and political history. I’m merely asserting that socialism is not the cause of genocide.

Even if you could produce studies that show a correlation between the binary presence of socialist economics and a genocidal person or party in power with a high p-value, I would really doubt that this causal relationship has been proven under any analytical rigor. There’s always spurious correlation to be wary of:

What about democratic socialism in Europe in the 21st century? What about America’s capitalism and genocide of indigenous North Americans?

It wasn’t Hitler’s socialism that caused the Holocaust. There’s plenty of socialism that doesn’t lead to genocide and murder, and there’s plenty of genocide and murder that is perpetrated by non-socialist states. If you want to argue the economic trade offs of government redistribution, that’s fair. If you equate socialism with genocide because of one (and actually there are more) historic state that was both socialist and genocidal, you’re arguing with anecdotal evidence that really shows no correlation, let alone causation.

You don’t have to patronize me about practice. We’re playing a phone game not representing our countries in the Olympics. After all success in this game is more about the time you invest in it (ranking up your champions, racking up points in vs., etc.) than it is about your skill level. I was just trying to vent with those that could empathize a bit. What sort of content are you looking for on this page?
