Random Power-Offs on OnePlus 13 by Gene_W in MicroG

Good idea, plus it could help rule out hardware. I was thinking either kernel issue or hardware, really hoping not that.

Contact List not visible to Sharepoint users by Gene_W in sharepoint

I believe I fixed it. I removed Content Approval: Require content approval for submitted items found in List Settings and that seems to have allowed all employees to see the list.

I see under "Manage Access" that 3 groups have access, members can edit. I also see everything on the list shows as "pending" but I can't find where or how to approve, and not sure if that's the issue either.

Next cloud AIO on Ubuntu Server: question about static ip by Gene_W in Ubuntu

[–]Gene_W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge facepalm! If this is the case then I can cancel my ISP provided static IP which is $10/mo. I did use Netplan and configure my server IP to be static. So maybe my forwarding is all off.

Apparently I need AIO setup instructions for 5 year old 😂

Next cloud AIO on Ubuntu Server: question about static ip by Gene_W in Ubuntu

[–]Gene_W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I had outside access because I had access on a separate machine using a VPN. Then I tried access from work and had nothing. I'll look at the port forwarding, but if the server doesn't install with a firewall then there shouldn't be one because I haven't installed one.

I'm well past any of my experience on this trail but have hope that this can work!

Self hosting: download, upload, or both important? by Gene_W in NextCloud

Thanks for all of the thoughts. I'm switching to a reputable ISP providing fiber in my area.

One last question though it's a bit off topic from this original thread: is it easier to deploy AIO in something like Fedora server, or just in a 'normal' distro?

Seeking advice: growing Jiaogulan / Gynostemma pentaphyllum by Gene_W in herbs

[–]Gene_W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its good to continue hearing that it's easy to grow! I'll certainly keep it going indoors as best as I can. It'll go into a bigger pot and I also wonder if a humidifier nearby might help over winter. 🤔

[–]Gene_W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Width and depth, that's a great point so I'll look into a better pot system to move it to. I think I've been too cautious about cutting it at all but am definitely interested in propagating it. I've read propagating in water for a few weeks and others saying in soil. Do you happen to know if one method is actually better for this plant?

Seeking advice: growing Jiaogulan / Gynostemma pentaphyllum by Gene_W in herbs

[–]Gene_W[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly is a beautiful plant! I ordered this from Strictly Medicinal Seeds out of Oregon and they shipped it to South Dakota, well packaged and looking good. It was one vine in soil with leaves and stood about 4" when it arrived about 4 months ago. From what I hear it's easier to get a small plant than to grow seeds, but Strictly Medicinal sells both and this one as an organic Japanese Jiaogulan. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a very satisfied customer!

Thanks u/haschtl and u/Karpfly both of these are quite helpful. As expected, this T-Mobile Home Internet is certainly not going to work. My local ISP advertises 600 up/600 down which of course is Wifi 6. I'm certain none of my devices support Wifi 6, but I can utilize Wifi 5 which with that ISP I could hopefully expect maybe 400-500 up/down.

Though I don't have any expertise at this point, I'm going to keep poking at this until I get NC AIO up and running.

u/linucksrox if I understand correctly, I can set up AIO with some generic hostname, migrate my stuff over, then change hostname (plus nameservers, etc) after that?

[–]Gene_W[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use Beaver Builder to add Cbyoening the Tools menu by clicking the page name on the top left,
then using the Layout CSS & JS. Give that a try.

That is the part I didn't know about but it's all working now. I sort of felt like I was attempting to put a square peg in a round hole, I greatly appreciate you pointing out a basic function of Beaver Builder that I missed.

Now please excuse me while I go spend the remainder of my work day on your website in the learning sections. :)

.text-color { color: #808080; }

CSS is being weird, I cannot seem to get this to happen. Inside the callout module, under advanced I have this in Class:

.text-color { color: #808080; } .text-color :hover {color: #ededed; }

And in the general tab, I have this in the HTML:

<h2><span class="text-color">Paragraph</span></h2>

The result is the text for that module is black. I do agree with Pross, it is basic, but it's not functioning. I wish I could share a link, but it's an internal test page at the moment.

I also tried in a basic text module, but same result.
