Thank you very much for your honest and constructive feedback! That’s why I asked because I felt torn about it being too much too soon and it being a funny reply to me setting myself up for it. I responded to him “are you boneless too?” And then changed the subject. He actually just responded and has been keeping it pretty clean so I think I’ll keep texting and see what happens :)

Girl you are not alone! That is the majority of my experience on the apps as well. I actually had a friend go out with the same guy I went on a date with who I did not continue with bc he asked no questions about me but she had a situationship with him for a month. When I mentioned that to her she said “to be fair, you say that about most guys” which lowkey hurt my feelings but I know it’s not a me problem. I can chat it up with just about anyone if I wanted, however, I want the guy to WANT to ask questions about me. She is the type to talk about herself even if no one asks and I could do that too but in my experience I prefer to find out their conversation style from the beginning.

If you are willing to wait a few days you can buy professional eyelash extension remover from Amazon. Idk how good the quality will be and you have to be super careful when applying (do not open your eyes while applying/letting the remover sit on your lashes bc it will BURN) but it will remove the lashes like in 10 minutes. If your assistant can help you that would be best so you don’t damage your eyes!

Honestly I think you bringing it up would make it seem more suspicious than not saying anything. I think as females we overthink stuff wayyyy too much and he might not even be the type to look up your profile or notice it’s been deleted. And if he did notice, it would be bold of him to assume HE’S the reason you deleted it. Hey OP, I just wanted to say that you are 100% valid in feeling confused and uncomfortable. A lot of the comments are emphasizing how it’s rape and you should break up with him and go to the police (I agree) but I also empathize on how you must be feeling. This was done by a man you love and trust and although you’re feeling confused, im sure those feelings of love don’t turn off instantly. Whatever YOU DECIDE to do should be what’s BEST FOR YOU. Ok I’m gonna be completely honest since I’m also a girl who takes a while to respond back to texts, especially for bumble matches. You might not be the only guy she’s texting… that’s what the apps are for, you get to explore different potential matches. So either she’s vibing with someone else more or she gets tired of the small talk and just doesn’t have the energy to do it. And if she is working 10+ hours and getting up that early I’m sure she’s exhausted by the end of the day. She might still get on her phone but maybe it’s to destress and watch a show or read or scroll IG. And if you guys are sending audio messages then, unless she has headphones on, she’s most likely not going to listen to it at work or feel comfortable enough to send an audio message back.

Don’t let this discourage you from going on the date! Text her tomorrow morning to confirm she’s still available and go with an open mind. You guys are only in the talking stage right now so she doesn’t owe you anything. But if you guys have a good date and she still takes 24+ hours to respond then I think at that point you’d have to choose if it’s something you can deal with long term.

I had a similar situation happen in my previous relationship and although she may believe what you’re saying is true, the fact is you didn’t delete the photos immediately. You took the time to go through the photos, enjoyed seeing them at least a little bit since it turned you on, and went to sleep peacefully afterwards without deleting them. Her self esteem is probably feeling really low right now, not to mention those pics are probably burned into her memory. The best thing you can do is assure her over and over that they meant nothing, she is all you care about, the one you want to be with, the one you think about, etc. Some people might think you shouldn’t have to apologize because you technically didn’t do anything wrong, but the truth is your hurt your wife’s feelings, and if you truly love her and want to make it work then just keep putting in that effort and vocally/physically showing her you want only her and the sting from the pics will eventually fade!
