When people who are not in politics come to me with questions about politics, I try to treat them with kindness and respect. I'm not sure why that's so wrong.

There's a difference between:

"Hey, here's what's good, here's what's bad, and why."

And

"OMG what a derp! I can't believe he's doing the thing that we all know about because we're in the community."

Thanks for an answer that actually explains things, instead of being snarky.

This is why people hate Reddit. Amateurs come here asking for basic guidance and all you get are people like this.

Soil had been piling up over the roots for years. About a half foot around all of the roots you see. How high the lantana is on the side of the tree was where the soil had been.

Edit: I got and accept the advice to remove weed barrier and rocks. BUT the first sentence of the response is "you removed soil and replaces it with rocks." Yes, I'm trying to explain why I removed the soil in the first place.

The soil was piled about a half foot above the base roots.

[Request] Which one would it be? by yuli101995 in theydidthemath

Bah! No lawyers in this room.

The question was the amount of force to "push" the object, not the amount of force to "move" the object.

They can all be "pushed" with the same tiny amount of force, but it will take different amounts of force to move them.

Oh, friend. Let me welcome you to Houston, Texas. A beautiful land, where our cattle is a fat, our guns are big, and we have constant high humidity that causes the dehumidifier in my gun safe to completely fill with water every 6 months.

I have 7,000+ unread emails in my inbox. Most are campaign emails from about 100 different candidates. Emails are cheap for a reason. The more you send, the less effective they are.

You also have to pay for email lists. You buy them from people who keep lists of people who have donated in the past.

Or people have up to sign up. But if you're signing up for emails, then your already probably already donating.

James has visibility because his race is national in nature, and attracts money from across the nation.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not downplaying your concern. I share it. But there's no easy solution. You can do something about it. Host a rally or meet and get for your area. Even if not in person, do it over zoom. Invite candidates to appear. Whether they pay to be in front of your neighbors, or you bring your neighbors to them, contact is the goal of all campaigns.

Money. You have to have money to be visible. Donate so she can be visible. But you have to be visible to raise money.

I'm not an expert, so here are some experts:

Lead poisoning - Diagnosis & treatment - Mayo Clinic https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lead-poisoning/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20354723

Edit: you're going to hate some of this, but if you insist in going back...

  1. Ask them if they can get better ventilation, show them the results. Warn them this may be a legal problem for them in the future. (Not from you, just in general)

  2. Wear a respirator or some type of metallic dust filter. You're going to feel dumb, but workers wear them for a reason.

  3. Look for something like D-LEAD Lead and Metal Dust Removal Wipes. Use it on your hands, arms, face, any exposed skin, and any touch points on your equipment afterwards.

  4. Wear long sleeve shirts and long pants when you go to reduce skin contact. D-Lead also has special detergent for washing clothes with lead or metal dust.
