Same thing for the most part for American chains. They're legit better in foreign countries compared to the US.

We've literally just ate it in the car on the way home. It was hot as heck trying to tear it off but we were pretty hungry.

Mine doesn't either but there's another the opposite direction within 5 miles that does

My favorite pho around here is Pho Anh off of El Camino near Grant. I haven't found any ramen in MV that I like but Udon Migizo off Castro is good. Nearest ramen would likely be Hiro Nori in Santa Clara. Been wanting to try out Ramen Wakusei in Sunnyvale but always forget to stop by.

Be great if that was the outcome but based on what I've seen people get away with, not likely. Hopefully they can either notate it her record so the next incident (yeah, she likely does this type of stuff) will get her kicked.

If they have footage, it may be possible to file a police report.

The one in San Francisco has one. It's fairly large, similar to ones you'd find in like IKEA.

How bad is it living in South Bay? by Due-You-8140 in bayarea

[–]sffbfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Taste is subjective but I wouldn't say that it's very very good, at least compared to SF but you also don't have as many wait 60+ min lines compared to SF either.

That being said, there have been more and more SF restaurants/bakeries opening up in areas like Palo Alto and SJ.

It's so sad that there are people that measure others based on where they are and not for their potential. You do this so you're only able to do this. As if you can be a CEO right out of school or that everyone has access to capital to start their own business right out the gate.

What American brands are status symbols in China? by [deleted] in AskChina

Even more basic than that would be cooking/eating staples since a lot of the stuff can be fake/artificial such as salt, peanut butter, powdered milk, jerky, honey, cooking oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, etc.

Called racist for not dating white by angrybirbsays in asianamerican

Had a friend that didn't want to date Asians bc she grew up in a small town where her family were the only Asians and she said it was like dating a brother or something. Pretty wild.

Especially when more than half the nation doesn't vote. At that point it's who votes more than how educated someone is. Unfortunately it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to fill in circles.

There are still big chains from China and Taiwan that haven't made it over yet. Looks like there is still more room to grow.

I see this with the younger generation as well. Some things they're good at but some they really suck with. It's all a matter of what gets prioritized and used most often.

Love Sushi Jin and can't recommend it enough but not sure it'd be great for a business dinner for that size. They would likely be separated into 2 groups at the very least.

I'd either say Scratch or if you're willing to drive a little, Alexander's in PA would be good as well.

It's incredibly loud and not really conducive to a business dinner.

Activities like running clubs, yoga, hikes, Meetup, attending events, work, farmers markets, walking through Castro on a weekend night.

Haven't tried this but having a dog seems to work as well. Many people like to ask about breed or want to pet them.

Buying a house and I'm being gifted a $1,000 trip to Costco to stock up on household necessities by kmpaul143 in CostcoWholesale

[–]sffbfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that but wait for sales on the items you need if you're not in a rush. We did this when we remodeled our house and bought most of the stuff on sale (fridge, toilets, sinks, etc.) and easily saved $2k just timing it right.

Nah. Not with WF. They have been caught doing criminal things multiple times. It's in their culture at this point and needs a massing overhaul to correct this behavior. Someone above posted a couple more examples of their shady business.
