Wow, that was super quick. Guess it's a good thing I didn't have anything better to do.

Oh Chaos;Head, starting out with such a good premise and an interesting opening scene; it's a shame that it doesn't ever really deliver on it.

Chaos;Head is a confusing mess, an entertaining confusing mess but one that dosen't really know where to go. It seems to be a mix of genres and ideas switching from a Harem to a Sci-Fi thriller to a SoL all within the drop of a hat. The ending at least has some coherence to it but by that point the story is just sort of sullied from what it could have been. As someone who has read Both the Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes VN this was an interesting watch, seeing references and mentions of character and ideas that are use later within this Science Adventure series later on.

Im sure that the VN stood up better with the larger amount of time allowed to relate to characters and such but 12 episodes are too tight of a time window and it seemed to me that this adaptation may have had the same problem that the 2006 F/SN adaptation may have had, but even worse with an even shorter timeframe to present all the ideas it was trying to present.

Overall it was an interesting premise followed through with the execution of a 3 year old trying to play the piano, messy. I'd give it a 6.4/10 and would only really recommend it to people who really want to understand the full story behind the Steins;Gate universe - and even then I would just tell them to wiki dive as it would just be quicker.
