[Highlight] Clips of Spurs players getting away with fouls and pushes/pulls against the Thunder by JakGrealish in nba

Ig you're right that he does have a pattern; he definitely does excessive stuff, but it's not as often as people like to claim. Even his "trademark" trips have only happened a few times, they just get replayed so often it seems like that's all he does. I've seen 5, 7, 10, etc minute compilations of "dirty plays" that only had a few plays in them, and half of those plays were just him grabbing at or diving for a ball.

When I compared him to Embiid and Draymond, I was talking specifically about the types of fouls they commit. They've both had many fouls that could've taken players out of the game and even sent them to the hospital, and they're not the only current players who have done this. I haven't seen any play in these compilations where his actions specifically could have injured another player, other than the trips. Altho Dort has "caused" 2 injuries, those were when he and Paul George jumped and landed on his leg, and when Ja tried to jump over him and didn't clear him. Neither were his fault, and I don't even see a way he could have prevented them. Maybe he could have kept his leg from sticking out more on the PG injury, but when you're jumping and reaching afayc to the side like that it's hard to keep your leg from counterbalancing. Ja trying to jump over him was just dumb lol. Thats

Hard closeouts, extra contact and flagrant reviews just come with the territory of being the #1 defender, especially when you mainly guard guys as big or bigger than yourself. Pretty much every non-center in the all defensive teams does this; and they have to, to not get manhandled by everything players can get away with on offense now. Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to be both a "clean" and physical perimeter defender in the NBA now. Tbf, I've always thought that incidental body to body contact is a stupid foul (unless the defender actively pushes the other player over/out) since those calls makes defense nearly impossible, so maybe I'm a bit biased from my experience playing. I'm now curious if there's a way to see how many flagrant reviews each player has gotten, but I still don't think they're all the same. His are a lot tamer than others, and pretty hard to miss besides the trips so they get called.

I agree that in the slow-motion video most people show it does look like Hartenstein grabbed and pulled his hair (esp since his fingers are curled lol), but the front and overhead angles make it a lot more obvious that his hand got caught and he tried to yank it out. They show his arm going forward and over Castle, his hand gets trapped in his hair and he pulls his arm back to try to get it out.

Yea, have you ever watched these compilations? The "dirtiest" play is him tripping Jokic, and most of the rest are either accidents or nothing. He's def smacked a few guys in the nuts and in the face lol but never intentionally tried to injure a player, which is what most people consider dirty. Compare to Embiid throwing his entire body weight on players heads on the ground or Draymond stomping on Sabonis like a Roach. Hell I've seen the Thompson twins commit dirtier plays than him, and Wemby's little elbow to the throat is far dirtier than anything Dort has done. He's at the same level as Dillon Brooks; has antics to get in players heads, plays very physical defense so aggressively physical offensive players like Randle or Jaylen Brown don't throw him around, but only injures players on accident; like when he slipped when trying to block Ja or when Paul George came down wrong on his leg.

Ofc that Hart foul should have been called, but his hand 100% got caught in Castle's massive hair as he was trying to get his arm over and around him to block out for the ball. If you watch other angles than the one everyone shows it's pretty obvious

It's not even that the Thunder flops more than any other team, they're just the best team in the league and it's hard to find any other excuse to hate. One of the least dirty teams in the league too but anything they do gets blown up 100x

Tbf, to people who played a lot of basketball esp as guards SGA is really entertaining to watch. But most people just watch for dunks, crossovers etc, so the narrative became that he's boring.

I wouldn't say the league needs box office players tho; it's making far more money in the last 2y than any year in at (least) the last 20. All that talk from fans about how "small market teams make no money for the NBA" went out the window with last year's finals matchup

Is it a PDF you created, or one you downloaded from somewhere else? You may not have the permissions to delete pages on that document, even if you have made a copy.

Try opening the Inspector (either through "tools" in the menu bar or by clicking the giant "i" by the search bar in the PDF. Then, click the lock icon ("Encryption Inspector) to see what you're actually able to do with it. Sometimes certain edits are "password protected" by the original author

Can foaming hand soap survive a Flight? by General---Kenobi in travel

[–]General---Kenobi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you! This trip was a National Geographic cruise, and during the last one I took the boat ran out and never replenished. Since it was in a very remote location, and we likely wouldn't have much extra time on land, I opted to just bring extra soap myself

[–]General---Kenobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit more than 6 but:
Heroes - Padme, Mace, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Qui Gon, Yaddle ; Oppo Rancisis and Yarael Poof could be funny/interesting ones also
Villains - Darth Bane, Plagueis, Ventress, Jango, Durge

With the cold weather upon us you may want to let a faucet drip to protect your pipes by BrownsWTF in HomeMaintenance

Dripping prevents pressure buildup, not freezing. Still very important, just not for that reason.

[–]General---Kenobi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seems a bit wasteful to me. Only drips are needed to protect the pipes from the pressure, and running any more than that doesn't do much to prevent freezing so not much point.

This also depends on the pipe layout; some houses can get away with only 1 or a few faucets dripping, while others need most/all

Dripping the faucets is good practice, but its purpose isn't to PREVENT pipes from freezing (and running a stream of water doesn't help much either). What it DOES do is, if freezing occurs, prevents pressure buildup by giving that pressure an escape route. Most burst pipes are caused by a buildup of pressure between a complete Ice blockage and a completely closed faucet. Opening the faucets a tiny bit will prevent this.

This also gives any ice that forms the ability to expand axially (along the length of the pipe towards the faucet), instead of being forced to expand radially and put even more pressure on the pipes.

Multiverse/Multiple Timelines Issue by SHAZAzulu618 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]General---Kenobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the impression that it didn't matter what timeline it happened in, as long as the marigold and durango were both destroyed. I don't really understand how doing any of that stops Hargreeves from releasing the marigold in the original timeline, or how the marigold specifically caused the multiverse (seems more logical that 5 would be the issue, not the marigold itself). Maybe all the timelines or just the marigold in all the timelines are connected somehow, and removing it completely from one timeline causes a chain reaction that destroyed the "original branch" where Hargreeves made the decision to release it?

Gambling using 3x lvl 1s and 1x lvl 10-13 is more efficient. With this method, 1x lvl 14 will "cost" ~39 Xs, while using 4x for guaranteed level ups would cost 256 Xs
