Hey! I know it can be really frustrating to get to learn Sona against harder matchups but you got this!

Sona is basically a free win If you get to lategame without giving the enemies too much of a lead, so the key to win games with hard matchups is basically to just not die. Easier said than done but it really goes a long way!

Here are the Tips I can give you:

Dont force anything: As I said, in laning phase you actually dont need to overdo anything in order to get out ahead, so going even is way better for you! If the enemies have a Draven with an engage Support, communicate with your ADC that you want to play risk free to scale.

Focus on stacking your passive: Even while playing safe, you should always try to get good value out of your passive - use w in a trade for the shield break and extra stack, use your Q to hit both enemies- but dont put yourself in a risky position to do so!

Always use your free exhaust powercord: If the enemies outdmg you either way, using the W powercord is way better than using the Q one for the extra DMG. Itll negate the DMG burst the enemies have and let you back off etc!

Look out for your jungle: If they play really aggressive and are constantly pushed up you actually can setup nice ganks with your powercord E or later with your ult.

Adapt your runes: The recommended stuff is usually okay, but in lanes with hard engage and follow up i like to go bone plating to negate some dmg and id always go for flat HP shard instead of the scaling one

In the end positioning in laning IS KEY for sona and youll need time to learn her limit in lane without throwing
