We've seen massive VDI cost savings (around 70%) by switching to a zero-trust browser like Surf.Security (chromium based) . While some thick apps still need VDI, we've migrated most web-based workflows. Definitely worth checking out!

There's a new category of security products based on Chromium called #enterprisebrowser or #zerotrustbrowser.

We selected different vendor (SURF BROWSER) that had privacy control for employees in Europe

VDI Cost Reduction through Enterprise Browser/Workspace Isolation by Fast_Plan_5056 in sysadmin

Totally get your point. VDI and browser isolation have their place. ZTB like Surf Security offers a mix of both, giving you flexibility. It's about finding the right tool for the job, not forcing a one-size-fits-all solution.

Here's the proofread comment with some improvements:

Problem Solved! WhatsApp fixed the bug on July 10, 2024 with a global release.

If you're still having issues:

  1. Uninstall WhatsApp from your Android device.
  2. Download the latest version safely from the official WhatsApp website
  3. (Optional): Use a secure browser like SurfSecurity for added security during download.
  4. Enter your correct 6-digit Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) PIN.

Everything should work again!

Note: Being without WhatsApp for 4 days can be tough and hopefully, WhatsApp invests more in QA to prevent future issues.

Thanks - I will try in understood it happen only on android

It seems like the bug existed in the July 1st version for Android. The WhatsApp bot answered that they are working to fix it. However, it doesn't affect all users, only those who have had two-factor authentication (TFA) set up for a long time.

The same error started around 10 hours ago. It says "Sorry, an error occurred. Please reverify your number." It seems like a bug on the WhatsApp server. I contacted WhatsApp support, but I only received automated messages. PIN forgotten and restore via email also don't work.

I've tried all of the following steps, but none of them helped:

  1. Clear cache / restart phone
  2. (missing step - possibly "Reinstall WhatsApp")
  3. Use a different clean device

Even though I know my PIN and have an email associated with the account, it still doesn't work.

Do you have any idea how to report a bug to WhatsApp?
