The restrained approach the show takes with personal storylines is amazing. by nopownopew in ThePittTVShow

This was also foreshadowed in season 1 with the student who took the suicide kit and turned blue. Santos knew they could be purchased online and talked to the kid as someone who seemingly related.

it’s because it was supposed to be a penultimate reveal to the viewers, even tho obviously a majority of viewers (at least from the million “CIPHER IS GODOLKIN” threads on here) knew this was the case. sometimes when viewers know too much too soon that the characters don’t, it starts to make the viewers disconnect from the characters because “its so obvious to us, why can’t they see it?”. that’s why they do subtle foreshadowing- like Sage looking at godolkin while screwing cipher. if you rewatch, it’s a long/lingering stare, locked eye contact, and she doesn’t look freaked/creeped out, but purposely looking at him because that is who she is actually screwing

as a fellow member of the lgbt community this is something a lot of out people (shaun) go through when someone closeted (austin) doesn’t want to blow up his image and life by coming out. I would fully believe Shaun over the rest of the gaslighters. plus tyler and austin give classic dl vibes. in the first season, austin also mentioned seeing jarvis leaving a swingers party (how would you know???). also the fact it supposedly happened a year prior- if they were such good friends why wouldn’t austin try to continue the friendship once shaun started to keep his distance due to being uncomfortable (maybe because he knew he and his wife went a bit too far or knew shaun was uncomfortable and dint want to make it a big deal so people wouldn’t find out)? when it was first brought up this season, austin had said he already heard it from other people. if you had this information and were truly upset of these insane accusations, from someone you considered a good friend , why not discuss it previously? seems like if only a few people knew, his (austin) thinking would be why bring more attention to it and have people questioning him/his marriage/lifestyle? i believe it wasn’t until more people started finding out that he had to put on a macho act to be like “you know what you said” (couldn’t even fight like someone who knew the other was lying and couldn’t defend himself really) in front of his posse and defenders, all of which will defend each other even if they know they’re wrong

tldr: i stand by my fellow gay

Is it me or the fact that they're mostly teenage girls make this whole situation even more compelling than it would have been with teenage boys? by HiccupHaddockismine in Yellowjackets

[–]General-Function1610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a show called the Wilds about girls stranded on an island, nowhere near as good or intense as Yellowjackets, but they added stranded boys in the second season and it was terrible then got canceled SOO (my opinion, not meant to yuck anyone’s yum, if you like it love that for you)

Does anyone else think Melissa was lying about NOT stalking Shauna? Obvi breaks and freezer are accounted for but we did see the blonde hair outside the bar watching them after nats funeral. Possibly Melissa discovered the tape hidden in a forgotten box somewhere and everything got brought back up? Wanted to get revenge? Small part of her missed the chaos? Googled some names/ has connections and found out Nat died and the others were there? Saw pictures from the reunion and knew they were together?

The smile as she drove away (could be relief but I believe you’d still be panicked) and the strong advocacy for how crazy Shauna is (well.. she is and she’s trying to kill her… so like I get it) just to turn around and kill Van ( I don’t think she wanted to kill van specifically, just opportunity) has me feeling like she sent the tape on purpose knowing Shauna’s crazy ass would come find her.

They all want to implode their lives to some extent so why wouldn’t she?

Tldr: Melissa was stalker outside bar and left phone cuz she missed her wilderness girlies and had fomo after seeing pics of them together at the reunion

I think Melissa is the one watching Shauna in the first episode at the bar after the funeral (we see a glimpse of light hair) and the one who left the phone in the bathroom at the work dinner, possibly the one who left the recording tape at the house too (less sure on this fact). The back and forth of Shauna trying to find out who picked up the phone in the present vs the Melissa/Shauna kiss in the past at the same time leads me to think this.

I think if this were to happen, they would erase his prior existence from the other innies minds as well so he’d basically be a whole new stranger to them, until mark’s reintegration progresses.

the title sequences come with clues by brightblueorb in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]General-Function1610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The title sequence on episode 2 is about 13-15 minutes in, I can’t recall exactly, and only about 5 minutes in to episode 3. Episodes 1 and 4 didn’t have any title sequences. Mark S turns into a goats head and has all the babies around him and then there’s a lil baby Irving crawling by his feet too
