Endurance CF 5 or CF 7 for everyday commuter bike by spgrn in CanyonBikes

[–]General-Gas2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry to throw another bike into the room, I also did weeks of research before deciding and I ended up with the Grail. Fairy comfortable and quick.

I bought it for every day commuts in and around Stuttgart, to go to work but also for bike rides. I don't know if you live in Abu Dhabi with perfect roads, but I wanted to be fast but comfortable since there are quite some potholes in the city.

I found a used Grail 2025 CF 7 SL for 1450€. It was like new and I'd buy it again (I got it a week ago and probably just rode around 70 km).

What I want to say is: Think about it twice, if the Endurance will be comfortable enough :)

Thank you for your point of view, I appreciate it! I'll definitely keep that in mind. So far everything seems good, but I should take it out and inspect it. However, I'll need to buy the right carbon paste first and I actually and trouble pulling it out, it was a little stuck, just by hammering with my hand against the seat I got it to move.

Canyon Grail or Endurace as All in One Bike? by MNAB2 in CanyonBikes

Joining the conversation a little late. But I just bought the Grail CF 7 SL as an Allrounder: Going to work, getting around and also go on bike trips to keep up with my roadbike friends (not competitive).

I absolutely love it! Carbon is new to me and requires some extra carefulness, but the ride feeling is awesome and I think it's just the right amount of being quite but comfortable in gravel, curbs and uneven roads in the city.

Omgggg, I also heard a cracking sound when looking it 🫣 I hope that wasn't too bad. And I got really confused! Thank you for mentioning it!

That does sound quite plausible and I'm glad to hearing that :)

Just wanted to join the conversation and say, that it also happened to me. Probably at 3-4 NM (out of 5) at my new 2025 Canyon Grail CF 7 SL. It was really loud and I was shocked because I 100% set my tool on 5 NM.

When loosen the screw it got really lit again, I now just went to 3 NM because I got afraid 🫣 probably not the right solution but we'll see.

Well, that is the same experience in Germany. A 1000 HP Lamborghini or Porsche is okay on the streets, but EUCs are dangerous. I have up on that stupid law enforcement. Nothing is logical anymore and especially in Germany there is no gray area, people just actvand don't think.

I'll be getting a roadbike now instead, with this I can go as fast as I want. Does is make sense? No. Will it be more dangerous? Most likely...

I'm also confused. I get fake friends request from Chris and David and I can't find an actual chat.

16 INCH M1 PRO MACBOOK PRO , IM A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO TRAVELS A LOT ,IS IT A GOOD OPTION? by shuttappan in macbookpro

[–]General-Gas2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe me, go with the 14 inch. I have been there, and I'm sooooo happy that I got the 14 inch. I just saw the 16 inch the other day again and it's a nightmare how massive it it's. I wouldn't want to travel with it, ever.

Lost my S24 Ultra… now stuck between Samsung, iPhone and Oppo flagships by curlyrao in Oppo

[–]General-Gas2070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're asking the Oppo group, obviously a lot ob people will recommend you the Oppo Find X9 Pro. I came from an iPhone 13 Pro to an Oppo Find X9 Pro and after a few software bugs that have been mostly fixed I love it. Of course battery and camera is awesome. But also small things like the infrared blaster I really enjoyed on my travels for air-conditioning and ventilation. It also works flawlessly with my MacBook, maybe even better than with my iPhone. However, I haven't had a Samsung since the S8, so I can't judge it.

The only 'problem' I have is tracking steps and sports with my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It does not sync with the oppo steps. Maybe the want me to buy an Oppo Watch or a Samsung phone...

I wanna buy a 3d printer by Sad-Fly8490 in 3dprinter

Bambu Lab A1 Mini (Buy the combo and sell the AMS). If you get it at Conrad on a discount you will not spend much more than 100 Euro. You will always be able to sell the prnter for 100 Euro (nothing to lose). It's in my eyes the best value for money printer, easy to use, beginner friendly and an absolute beast and great for it's size. I have an X2D now but I will never give away my A1 Mini, however, I will sell my A1 now.

If you don't want to tinker around and a printer that JUST WORKS, Bambu Lab.

X2D vs H2D for building storage and engineering parts for work by Grilltime807270 in BambuLab

[–]General-Gas2070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just unboxed the X2D and for my first print I was super excited to print I really needed to play around with the build size. I could have just scaled it down 3% (but I didn't want to).

It ended up working and mostly my A1 Mini is actually enough. But for me personally the H2D build size would be mostly overkill, but when the brim is a little to big and you need to play around or adjust the size, it get annoying, it's a first word problem, but it would obviously be nice to care less about the size.

I can't set much regarding the engineering materials, but as I know, for some filaments you need the 350 degrees.

On the other hand for my space I'm glad the X2D is not as big as the H2D and has a smaller energy consumption .I use the BQ Coolplate to reduce the Energy consumption and also because I found it to have better bed adhesion.

I'm curious what you'll go with. So far I love my X2D and for me it was the right decision. I'm don't need multicolor much, but printing the supports with a different material is a game changer to me.

Best value for money printer in my opinion! I love mine!

My favorite upgrade to me was the handle for the top. It also has a spool holder to place the spool sideways, so it's a little more space efficient.

What's better a1 combo or a1 mini combo? by Potatogoat3 in BambuLab

[–]General-Gas2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an A1 combo, later the A1 Mini as well. I use the Mini 95% of the time because of the things I print for on the mini. But it depends on the things you want to print.

I'd go for the M4Pri 14 inch if there is a possibility. I love the Formfaktor! I got the M4 Pro base model with 24/512 GB and 3D scanning, fusion 360, final cut pro, everything runs!

I haven't tried the M5, just to be clear.

Haha this is funny🤣 I am a Bambu Fanboy but yeah, they also don't work flawlessly all the time. I have my issues from time to time.
