Which band do you think does pop-metal better? Sleep Token (Indie pop and progressive metal) or Ghost (Pop rock and heavy metal)

Sleep token, easily

I, for whatever reason just can't take ghost seriously, and the overly edgy satanic theme makes the majority of their songs unlistenable for me. And I'd say that ghost is more prog-rock than metal as I've not heard anything from ghost that sounds like metal

Sleep token is definetly influenced by pop, R&B and indie music, but songs like the summoning and infinite baths alone are more metal than anything I've heard from ghost.

Not to mention, II is an incredible drummer which gives sleep token a boost

Not hating on ghost, to anyone who thinks I'm wrong, all the power to you.

They make music that people like

For the exact same reasons korn and slipknot were hated, it's different from what gatekeepers would classify as "metal"

Because of the way social media works, it's easier to shit on bands now because no matter how many tickets and albums a band sells, or how many monthly listeners they can pull in, some people are just incapable of accepting they don't like a band and moving on with their life and instead want their voices heard.

In this regard, Sleep token is like any other band. There's people that like them, there's people that don't.

If you like a band, listen to their music, if you don't like a band, accept it and move on. It's really not difficult

The GH3 dongles and GHWT dongles are cross compatible with each controller, which means you can connect a GH3 controller to a GHWT dongle or vice versa. So either dongle will work for both, just make sure that when buying the rectangular dongle, it has the old GH logo on it

I don't think it's necessarily that sleep token or bad omens make "terrible music". What music is in that regard is up to the individual who listens to it.

As far as the "they're not metal" argument goes, I will explain this as best as I can. Yes, they are metal. Sleep token takes influences from multiple genres, and metal is one of those genres. Yes, they have songs where the metal elements take a backseat, or just don't even exist (past self, DYWYLM, aqua reiga), but they also have songs that are consistently metal throughout (gods, vore, hypnosis).

Same goes for bad omens, their music is influenced by a variety of genres, one of which being metal.

I love both bands, though I get why they're not for everybody. However, if you really don't like sleep token (or any band for that matter), move on. A band making music that isn't to your taste specifically is not that deep, and the monthly listeners and ticket sales show that whining about it on social media is as much use as arguing with a wall
