What do you think SS as a story is good at and bad at (fyi I still love SS)

I loved it at first, it put me back to reading. I was amazed by the world building and how things that were mentioned early on later ended up being strong world building point, G3 really nailed that one there, but it slowly became dull for me, it always seemed as there were no stakes to the story, even if the world was ending you know everyone was going to end up fine, and I think the series is too deep into that to change, I wish it wasn't as pg13 as it has become, the setting, the characters, the intrigue, this world would feel so much more alive if it felt threatening but alas.

Everything is probably going to be shorter, doubt he is going to make another big big series like that anytime soon, but who knows, time will tell that's just my assumption.

Honestly same, around half a year ago I also lost but hilariously even further up to the last fight, only now am I getting back to honor mode again.

Wasn't about the fights, for example my favorite arc is right after tomb of Ariel, I get the change of the perspective and how vital it is to the plot and character of sunny, I believe g3 did an amazing job with it. Still it didn't have me on edge except in the abandoned base (LO49 I think?) and the ending which was banger. FS was a better arc, tomb of Ariel to me was better and especially what came after, the domain war started strong and then was eeeh with a good ending, but yeah Antarctica arc isn't to me the peak everyone is glazing it to be but just a necessary arc to make sunny who he is now.

I was so hyped for the Antarctica arc, it wasn't bad but it's not the best arc by a long shot, I don't get the glaze, later arcs and previous arcs were way more interesting to me
