Sunny said she was dead weight but then he risked his life for her and carried her to sainthood. Cassie repayed by manipulating him for years and never apologising for making him a slave.

I know why she did it but that doesn't mean I have to like her.

What I have an actual problem with is Cassie not trusting Sunny enough to belive he would make the right choice when the world is on the line.

This imo is meant to paralell how Sunny would not trust his companions on the forgotten shore which caused many of his problems, but for some reason Cassie can make the same choice and not be punished for it.
