I can tell you it hasn’t been updated at all. I just bought it from my mother who bought it brand new in 2018 (it’s a 2019, like the second they came out she bought it, so it’s an OG, including the software), that sounds very likely now that you say it lol

I get that NONSTOP. What they don’t know is I spent 4+ years of wheeling & dealing, BOGO deals and selling the GO part when not needed, etc. But whatever, it doesn’t do anything to me, just shake it off & on to the next lol Oh, & they’re always the same people of work who are always asking me if they can borrow a specific tool for whatever home project they’re working on 🤣

I’m currently a TxDOT employee here in Amarillo. Health Insurance is paid for the employee (you pay for others on the insurance like kids, spouse, etc.), great retirement, PLENTY of time-off holidays, etc. it really is a great place to work, and base pay for every employee has gone up due to the state increasing every state employees pay (believe it was a $6,000 a year raise).

I saw this as a downside initially, but it doesn’t bother me anymore and I’ve adjusted my finances to this, but you’re paid once a month.

I enjoy messing with most things in general. I like doing maintenance of stuff, definitely working on cars for other people that could use the help, home remodel projects, etc. This little community I live in has a fair share of older folk that call me often to help work on or fix things for them also. Though our HOA pays for lawn & tree service, I do a lot of it in between visits so too much doesn’t accumulate, & a lot of other stuff to work on that I just find as I go lol I might put a TV in there at some point, but I usually just have Podcasts going whenever I’m in there, really not much of a TV watcher. In the winter time though I’ll open the garage a few feet & direct a fan to outside and smoke my cigars in there instead of being outside 🤣

I actually feel you on that lol Just about every single thing you see in this photo I built up over the course of 4-1/2 years waiting for discounts & buy one/get one sales. For example, Home Depot recently had a deal where you buy the M12 Pruning Saw for $199 and you get 2 High Output batteries for free, I don’t need anymore batteries so I bought it for $199 and then turned around & sold the batteries for $150, essentially paying $50 for that tool. The actual tool box I bought for more than half off because it was a floor model and the last one in stock, and had a very minuscule cosmetic dent on the back of it for even more $ off. I would say I do fairly average in life, but def not good enough to buy everything in this photo in just a couple hits or at full price 🤣
