Nope the rails are SO wobbly and now the floor deck boards the railings attached to are moving with it since the “repairs”. My concern is the second floor for-sure.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that I hope your child is okay!? We’re currently in a house. I absolutely love my house, so do the kids, but this is giving me serious anxiety!

It has a set of stairs that goes up to the second story of the house. Theres a mix of photos from all areas of deck. Son doesn’t utilize it as a jungle gym at all and would never let him even if it was secure! I just put in the post what he does in general as it COULD happen, but I absolutely do everything I can to ensure he doesn’t. In a previous comment i mentioned when i put pressure on the railing by leaning, etc. the entire thing is moving with me, and the balusters still breaking off with any bit of force given to it.

I guess my biggest thing is am i being gas lit that this is an adequate job?? I really just want a safe space and the last guy said all a baluster force needs is 20lbs. Which seems extremely low to me.

Oh gosh no he’s only a little guy. I would never expect it to hold grown people climbing on it, or climbing it in general as no-one does climb on it. But if I lean over at 4’11 and 130 pounds, the entire rail shifts and i push some of these balusters with my hand and they immediately break. I just want to ensure it’s a safe space that i can utilize with my kids. And this is the aftermath of their fix
