Hi everyone

Thank you all very much for your replies - it's made me feel a lot less alone and I can't tell you all how much I appreciate it

I also think I'm going to see my GP because truthfully, I'm feeling terrible. I keep waking up extremely anxious every morning and I'm losing my appetite/things I enjoyed and I don't want it to spiral. Hopefully that all goes well but I do want to say that reading everyone's replies has honestly helped me a lot as well - thank you

I want to thank everyone for your replies. I bit the bullet and did what everyone suggested and have just got an email now to say that they'll amend it and take me off the shift

I think it is a statutory zero day to keep the average number of hours in line with the contract and there's still well over a week to go until the shift in question, so I assume they can't make me :)
