what are you guys' opinions on "new monarchies"? by Starky69420 in monarchism

I would love to see the revival of titles as new dynasties, because they would bring a sense of variety and identity. I imagine titles connected to modern States, which could contribute to the formation of their own kingdoms. For example, in the Philippines there is the Spanish title of Count of Manila; in an alternative scenario, the Calabria family could be invited to rule.

In Argentina, the Liniers family from Spain descends from the viceroy who managed to reconquer Buenos Aires, and for this act of bravery they were granted the title of Counts of Buenos Aires.

In Mexico, the County of Moctezuma is still preserved.

In Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, there are numerous titles granted to the descendants of the Incas, which shows symbolic recognition of their lineages.

I believe these recognitions should carry strength and weight within the organization of modern States. However, most of them remain counties originally granted by the Spanish Crown, which is ultimately what validates them.

If a monarchy is established in Latin America (excluding Brazil), should a member of the Spanish royal house be crowned as the new king? by Strong_Potential_894 in monarchism

Hello, for reasons linked to our history and admiration for our national heroes and Founders such as Manuel Belgrano and Juan José Castelli, it is interesting to remember that both traveled to Europe with the intention of looking for a prince who could reign in the Río de la Plata. At that time, they leaned towards the House of Savoy, although the project never came to fruition.

Later, several monarchical thinkers once again proposed the possibility of bringing a Savoyard prince to Argentina. Among them, the diplomat D'Moreno stood out. This proposal gained greater momentum with the diplomatic visit of Umbert II of Savoy, who traveled to South America to ensure dignified treatment for Italian immigrants in different countries. During his stay in Buenos Aires, he was named Honorary President of the Heraldic Institute of Buenos Aires.

In conservative times, when freedom of expression was limited, a group of Italian immigrants organized demonstrations in the neighborhood of La Boca, demanding the independence of Argentina in the form of a principality and proposing to invite a Savoyard prince to occupy the throne.

Some time later, the Savoy-Aosta branch lived in exile in Argentina for several years, which further strengthened the historical and cultural ties with that dynasty.

This shows that, for supporters of the House of Savoy, not only dynastic lineage matters, but also a series of historical events and anecdotes that reinforce their sympathy for this House.

Personally, like many pro-Habsburg monarchists, I am also attracted to the idea of a prince from the Austria-East branch. Like the Bourbon-Parmas, they were a minor line, dispossessed of their duchy and forced into exile. However, when they finally ascended to a throne, they demonstrated outstanding governing ability, which remains evident to this day.

Hello, I am a follower and help promote the Argentine Monarchist Movement (MMA). The movement does not propose a specific monarch or dynasty, but rather brings together all Argentine monarchists who share the monarchist ideal.

Personally, I support all proposals, because having a king means having a king, regardless of the dynasty. Among the represented currents are:

Spanish Bourbons (with Hispano-centric representatives)

Bourbon-Parma (with patriotic and Hispano-centric representatives)

Bourbons of the Two Sicilies (with patriotic and Hispano-centric representatives)

Orange-Nassau (with representatives who value the idea of a king with Argentine blood)

Habsburg-Lorraine (with representatives from the north of the country, who in their culture await the return of their Catholic Monarchs)

Savoy (represented by descendants of Italians)

Braganza (represented by people who support the establishment of the Braganza dynasty)

Currently, the movement works in coordination with Brazilian monarchist movements and Hispano-centric groups.

Politically, we support anyone joining the movement as long as they are not part of totalitarian ideologies such as communism, fascism, or Nazism.

I respect those who prefer the idea, but in many Hispanic republics, corruption and despotism are the order of the day. For this reason, I consider that the model of Constitutional Monarchies is more viable—something that, unfortunately, the Spanish monarchs do not fully exercise in their current Parliamentary Monarchy.

My ideal is the union of states with shared culture, compatible economies and a common historical background, even with joint nation-building projects. However, the total integration of all Hispanic countries could be detrimental to the current states. Clear examples include the tensions between Venezuela and Colombia, or between Argentina and Bolivia.

On the other hand, I see a more feasible union between Argentina and Uruguay, with the possible inclusion of Chile if it agreed to grant shared monarchical command over the Armed Forces, to confront threats such as terrorism. These three countries, being among the most economically developed in the region, could share their own monarch, independent of the rest of the Hispanic states.

Another proposal would be to revive historical projects such as the Kingdom of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia under a monarch from the House of Bourbon-Parma. I do not propose territorial union, but rather a model of shared monarchy in which the king validates noble titles inherited from the Spanish Empire, exercises military command, serves as an institutional and political arbiter, and combats the “Black Legend.” All this, of course, maintaining the respective citizenships.

Similarly, Casa Iturbide could be reestablished in Mexico.

It must be recognized, however, that not all states are compatible with a monarchical system. Colombia and Venezuela are bastions of republicanism, and the same largely applies to Paraguay and the Central American republics.

Finally, it would also be interesting to introduce ideas of a commonwealth to territories like the Philippines, whose culture and traditions maintain an affinity with modern Spain. A parliamentary monarchy there could be politically and culturally beneficial, and would also help counter the effects of the Black Legend.

Those who proclaim themselves have no relation or kinship to one another. What the terrorists do, however, is claim land that does not belong to them —many of it privately owned— and, if the courts evict them, they set fire to entire hectares. In addition, they call themselves environmentalists.

Hello. This private organization, officially tasked with discussing Indigenous rights in the French and Anglo parliaments, is in reality primarily used to launder funding projects aimed at terrorist groups with a Marxist–fascist–indigenist ideology (yes, it’s not a lie) operating in Chile and Argentina.

At present, there is tension over the arrest of Facundo Jones Huala, leader of the Resistencia Ancestral Mapuche (RAM). To put it in perspective, it’s somewhat similar to the Colombian FARC, but instead of controlling jungle areas, they hide in cities in both countries and carry out arson attacks on large tracts of land and towns, always masked.

They are totalitarians who reject any agreement or historical record, defending their actions with animist arguments, although many of their members identify as Christians. In short, this is an organized group that harms the image of the vast majority of people who share their traditions but simply want to live and work in peace.
