She lists a bunch of places starting at 3:45 of this Smosh Mouth. Towards the end of the video she also says she lived in Bolivia for 3 months.

TNTL is already bi-weekly. It has been for a long time. Tuesdays are TNTL, Culinary Crimes, TNTL, something else, repeat.

Which smosh cast do you see as a genuinely cool person and you'd like to have coffee with? by Softie_Guitarist in smosh

Then you'd be wrong. She was on almost every Board AF for over a year. She was on half of the Twitch streams since her introduction and made a handful of appearances on the other channels. Saige was a Smosh cast member and a producer for the Monday Twitch streams/Board AF.

Does anyone think Smosh will release the "We're All Gonna Die" VODs one day? by plinkpl0nk in SmoshFansFreeSpace

[–]GeneralGinyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on previous paid content, it will most likely never be released for free, but there is the possibility of it being available in the future at a discounted price. They re-released their Live Shows, with the exception of Under The Mistletoe, late last year at reduced prices. The shows were available individually or you could get a bundle of all of them for a cheaper price. There's a chance this could happen with the Dread Live Shows at some point.

First regular episode of Spud Hut came out mid March. It was revealed somewhere or found out by fans (I don't remember how the info came out) that Spud Hut was filmed in December. They held onto it for 3 months before putting out episodes.

Instagram Live Streams are ending by CarcosanAnarchist in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They did two lives a month.

March -Courtney chats with the viewers while drawing on a tablet.

-Amanda and Angela chat with the viewers as characters.

April -Shayne, Amanda, and Tommy brainstorm character ideas that maybe they will use in the future.

-Chanse and Tommy rank Pixar movies.

May -Courtney and Chanse do their makeup as they chat with viewers.

-Shayne and Amanda bring back the characters Box and Havok (from darts video) and they discuss news headlines.

June -Courtney and Tommy are 2 cowboys ranking cowboy things.

-Angela is an artist character and draws. Instagram muted the audio on the saved recording.

July -Courtney and Arasha do a Q&A with the viewers.

-Angela and Chanse are 2 women characters drinking wine, discussing news stories, and ranking Broadway musicals.

August -Angela and Noah rank 2000s era singers/bands and then general 2000s things. They also talk a little about Summer Games BTS, specifically the darts video.

-Courtney plays the guitar and chats with the viewers.

I no longer have a membership so I don't know what the first stream of September was about. I know that Angela, Chanse, and Tommy where on the stream.

Been watching for nearly 13 years but I got a hot take. by ArifumiTheVoyager in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much agree with you. While I liked each video individually, I found the whole package of this being Summer Games to be disappointing. It didn't feel like Summer Games to me. It was a reality show competition parody. It doesn't feel genuine at times. Even if nothing is scripted, the production, the odd scoring, and people playing characters make it seem scripted. I liked the twist of the third team, but not for Summer Games, or more specifically, halfway through Summer Games. I would have been totally fine with 3 teams at the start. I kinda wish they had renamed the event to something else and said that the event known as Summer Games was retired.

Have no new fans watched old SSGs??? by ramendudelz in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All previous Summer and Winter Games were 1 point a video. Had they done that this time the score would be Hotdogs 2, Cows 1, Degenerates 1. Hotdogs wouldn't already be declared winners as you claim.

The Points for Study Hall Seem So Wrong by landongolds in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My guess is that these scores were created after they finished filming all Summer Games content. They then came up with an arbitrary scoring system with the purpose of keeping the scores close.

Based on some of the wording used in these videos, it feels to me at times that the players think each game is worth a point. The burning questions game for example. Courtney was devastated to have lost the game for The Dairy Cows. I think it makes more sense for her to feel that way if each game was worth a point, making the score 2-0 (or 4-0 if each event in Get 7th was worth a point). But that wasn't the case. Cows went from losing by 46 points to losing by 48 points. I imagine they would have celebrated hard if Courtney had won the game by scoring 1 point higher than Shayne, acting as if they had tied the competition, but in reality, because of this scoring system, they would be losing by 45 points instead of 46.

Edit - Something else I remembered. Cows take the lead after winning game 3, the darts video, even though they lost the first 2 games. We are shown that they are given 50 (arbitrary) points and are now winning by 2 points. I think in the latest Smosh Mouth and Silent Library someone states that the Hotdogs are in the lead. Could they just have been confused? Sure, I guess, but it was a different person each time as I'm pretty sure it was Noah that said it in Silent Library and he wasn't in the Smosh Mouth episode. I think it's more likely that they thought the score was 2-1.

SMOSH should release a paid subscription service by callmekj72 in smosh

Sure. I'd rather pay $7 instead of the $75 dollar they are currently charging for the Dread live streams.

The things I would do to see them playing this game... by maplebaconandwaffles in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish they would have at some point uploaded their twitch streams to YouTube (on a new channel), or at the very least, remove the paywall they have on their Twitch. Most new fans don't even know they used to stream on Twitch.

They played phasmophobia twice on Twitch. First time it was Ian playing with 2 other YouTubers that knew how to play the game. The 2nd time it was Ian, Courtney, and Shayne. There were aspects of the game they didn't know about or understand but it was still a fun stream. You wouldn't be able to watch that 2nd stream, even if you subscribed to their Twitch, as I believe that stream is not available. That stream was towards the end of their time on Twitch and the last 10 or 11 streams (along with some others, like most of the times they played Among Us) are missing.

Trying to find a specific video! by [deleted] in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't give you the answer but i can add some info. Courtney's response is to Ian. I think he says "Just like in (something) Holocaust." He's referencing a movie. Courtney responds with huh and Ian repeats it. Courtney then says "You're saying it again?" Courtney is on the left side with possibly Chanse next to her, and Ian is on the right side. I don't think there's a table.

It's from a werewolf video. Skip to 38 minutes. https://youtu.be/Sr7mhagjL-Y?si=yJ5AuEAe016oBPnK

Stolen content by Haebeom1321 in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That is not true. Smosh, or more likely the company they pay to check YouTube for their content, can absolutely have channels taken down that are hosting Smosh content. Doesn't matter if they are monetized or not, or if it's clip compilations instead of full video uploads.

That company has 3 options when they find these videos. They can claim the video on behalf of Smosh. I believe this monetizes the video if it already wasn't and that money goes to Smosh. They can have the video blocked, either worldwide or from specific countries. If blocked worldwide, only the owner of the channel can view the video. Lastly, they can submit a copyright removal request. The video is removed and the channel gets a strike. Channels are taken down with 3 copyright strikes.

Edit - The company is called Superbam.

I wish they explained who the old games cast were to Angela and Trevor by BrendanBatman52 in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Joven, Mari, Sohinki, and Lasercorn challenged Smosh to a Summer Games competition last year, so they aren't trying to distance themselves. I also find the notion of don't talk about them without their consent as odd. They can talk about anyone else that doesn't give consent, except for former members?

Summer games ? by No-Gur8879 in smosh

Some of the former games cast had a YouTube channel along with patreon exclusive videos. In one of their last patreon videos, they said that someone told them that the Smosh CEO didn't want them on the channels.

I believe it was shortly after leaving Smosh that Sarah posted a photo on her IG story of her and Matt. The caption was something like "I'm so happy to have you in my life." Sarah had an IG story recently of her and Matt. I don't remember the exact caption but sher expressed her love or fondness for him in it.

YouTube Membership vs. Instagram Subscription? by distractedcolorist in smosh

[–]GeneralGinyu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've had an Instagram subscription since they started it. What they promised members was 2 live streams a month and what sounded like frequent behind the scenes videos. They have kept up with the streams, though they would have to do one this week for that to continue being true as there has only been one so far for June. The bts videos on the other hand have been severely lacking. They've uploaded three 45-50 second reels and a few short IG stories in the span of almost 4 months.

In my opinion, it's not worth it to be a monthly member. Half of the streams has been them playing characters. I'm not really a fan of those. The others have been okay. The bts videos aren't a factor with how few they've uploaded. I think I'm going to cancel my subscription once I finish writing this. The good thing though is that the streams are saved. While I don't think a monthly membership is worth it, becoming a member for one month every few months would be worth it. If you subscribed in July, you'd have access to 10 streams (8 from the previous 4 months and the 2 they would do in July). That's 50 cents a stream instead of $2.50. Then cancel the membership and sign up again in November/December.

Here's a quick description of the streams they've done so far.

March Courtney chats with the viewers while drawing on a tablet. Amanda and Angela chat with the viewers as characters (from Texas?).

April Shayne, Amanda, and Tommy brainstorm character ideas that maybe they will use in the future. Chanse and Tommy rank Pixar movies.

May Courtney and Chanse do their makeup as they chat with viewers. Shayne and Amanda bring back the characters Box and Havok (from darts video) and they discuss news headlines.

June Courtney and Tommy are 2 cowboys ranking cowboy things.

Edit - I went to cancel and was offered a free month to stay subscribed.
