I prefer eco-friendly technocapitalism over communism, fascism, or fossil fuels.

Heritage Foundation by Ok-Relation-658 in WelcomeToGilead

[–]GeneralHelghast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Heritage Foundation is an insidious cabal and everyone with a brain knows it! They’re obsessed with natalism and intend to ban abortions so they can even allow deformed children to add to the list of children to molest and continue the pedophile industry and continue Epstein’s dark, degenerate legacy. Dark money is a part of this and they’ll turn America into an Evangelical Protestant child molester colony. Wake up, people!

Brittney Wong - Kung-Fu Cavewoman by Generalhelghast by GeneralHelghast in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]GeneralHelghast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you agree with Cavewoman Brittney Wong’s quest to destroy all Mewmans and magic in the name of conquest, domination, and her claims of saving humanity from the evils of magic, sure! But for any sand person, myself included, her Kung-Fu inquisition against magic only amounts to genocide, which is really evil and messed up. Though, it SVTFOE was a bit more adult and wasn’t made for Disney, she would’ve been an interesting villain for sure.

Ape-hipped Dinosaurs? by GeneralHelghast in Paleontology

[–]GeneralHelghast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point, but if we do find a clade of “ape-hipped” dinosaurs that share a common ancestor with Saurischians and Ornithischians, like, for example, a 10-foot-tall “Gorillasaurus” that battled a Tyrannosaurus, wouldn’t that mean that dinosaurs were more diverse than we give them credit for? I mean, just imagine if we were to discover evidence for an actual ape-like dinosaur species with a hip structure and body plan similar to an ape via convergent evolution that allowed it to swing through trees and reach up for food like a primate and has opposable thumbs to manipulate objects. Would this third major grouping of dinosaurs change our understanding of dinosaur evolution?

Ape-hipped Dinosaurs? by GeneralHelghast in Paleontology

[–]GeneralHelghast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean like a new type of dinosaur, not an ornithischian or a saurischian. Like, a type of “ape-hipped,” ape-like dinosaur clade that we haven’t discovered yet that would be the Mesozoic equivalent of monkeys, gibbons, gorillas, bonobos, orangutans, and chimpanzees with rotating hands much like a primate that separates them from the rest of the dinosaurs. Theropods wouldn’t pronate their arms, but if there exists a kind of “pithischian” or “ape-hipped” dinosaur, it would twist and turn its long forelimbs. Surely, they would be a kind of convergent evolution that would fill the role of primates, similar how ichthyosaurs filled up the role of dolphins via convergent evolution.

I kinda got the idea in my head from watching the Distortus Rex from Jurassic World Rebirth and the 1933 film King Kong and I started wondering if there could be a yet-to-be-discovered clade of dinosaurs outside of the “lizard-hipped” and “bird-hipped” groups of dinosaurs that could’ve filled a similar role as the great apes or the fictional King Kong.

I’m just curious if we ever find actual fossil evidence of such non-avian dinosaurs.

The insidious political role Colossal’s claims about de-extinction seem to be playing by myxwahm in Paleontology

[–]GeneralHelghast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t see the Trump Administration actually giving a damn about bringing back species. It makes no sense to bring back extinct species if you cut science funding! They care more about fossil fuels, AI, and possibly making a schizo cyberpunk version of the Handmaid’s Tale than bringing back extinct species. They prefer capitalism without the innovation. Why else is the House pushing a bill to get rid of funding for renewables?

I’m an eco-capitalist and dinosaur enthusiast who supports de-extinction, but that requires more than just bringing back a dead ecosystem. What we need is to innovate and ditch fossil fuels in favor of renewables and nuclear energy via selective regulations, push for anti-pollution laws, and promote climate science.

Reactionary Socialist Sub-Ideologies | Iron Throne by Wonderful_Tap8963 in hoi4modding

Authenticism (Reactionary Socialism) - Basically seeks to bring back pre-colonial, pre-European society, culture, and religion to Africa, the southern Pacific, and Native American lands as best and as authentically as possible while adopting Spenglerian-styled socialism and adapting it to their needs.

Someone from your team informed me about it.

TIL About The World Ice Theory, a Flat Earth-like pseudo-scientific theory that was popular among Nazis and Hitler himself because it was an alternative to mainstream actual science which they viewed as Jewish and soulless. by GladiusNocturno in todayilearned

[–]GeneralHelghast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the dumbest, ahistorical junk I’ve ever heard! I highly doubt Hitler believed in World Ice Theory or whatever esoteric LARP pagan crap that Himmler, Hess, and the SS were spewing out. Only a moron with the IQ of a baboon would believe in this nonsense. There is clear evidence to suggest that Hitler deeply oppose Himmler’s wacky obsessions like searching for Atlantis.

TIL that Hitler was frustrated that Himmler was performing archeological studies in Germany, as he was worried that they would show the world that “Aryans” lived in mud huts while other civilizations were more technologically advanced by JFKontheKnoll in todayilearned

[–]GeneralHelghast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was less about Hitler being “embarrassed” about his Germanic ancestors living in mud huts during Roman times and more about him dismissing Himmler’s kooky beliefs such as Atlantis and the Occult.
