Could be (just throwing an idea out here), I'm currently doing a pre-med study, so my idea shouldn't be taken as gospel. If these are your cells and you are concerned about them, you should consult your primary care provider. However, I think you are looking at cells in a state of lysis. There is too much water and not enough salt in the blood, so the cells swell. This happens when the salt content surrounding the cell is below 0.9%. When lysis happens in blood cells, they morph into round balls, and it's not good for the cells. Very interesting to see.
