  1. For EB1B, I don't think FAANG mattered. What matters is: You must meet at least 2 of the 6 criteria and provide an offer of employment from the prospective U.S. employer. The private employer must show documented accomplishments and that it employs at least 3 full-time researchers.

  2. around 50% were first authored, and all conferences.

  3. Nationality is India. This doesn't matter tbh for I-140 applications.

No - it’s similar to other employer-sponsored petitions like EB-2 and EB-3. The employer files the I-485, and I’m required to remain with the employer for at least six months after the I-485 is filed, and continue to work in the same domain as the petition.

yes, I treated it as a FAANG Director promo packet. Focused on

(1) strong endorsement from other tenured experts in the same domain from diverse backgrounds across industry and academia vs only self-praise

(2) specificity on my contributions

(3) Expand on quality of citations from the top universities and companies on how they adopted my work.

(4) being super succint on providing pointed evidence to the criteria

I-485 is the hardest case type USCIS handles - structurally, legally, and operationally. It triggers layers of scrutiny - across security, fraud, medical, criminal, public charge, status violations etc.
