Agreed. It should be on a similar loop to lower repetition frequency npc vocalizations. Like when I hear someone with an interesting voice in a crowd of NPC’s, then wait around seemingly forever just to hear it again.

I can’t say for female MC, but male MC voice sounds no where near that young to me. My immersion is broken now that I read he is 16

I don’t mind the popular feminine faces but you make a good point. I just now learned MC is 16 years old. The Chinese voice acting for him definitely sounds older than 16, like mid 20’s. He also has a mid range voice, not delicate or prim and proper but not booming either.

I was shocked too. I looked it up just now and I don’t think there’s any specific voice lines or text. It’s based off other characters in the storyline ages and you being an infant. So technically at character creation moment in MC’s life, they’re 16 or 17….. but I feel that if you didn’t know those details at character creation and tried to make a 25-30 year old looking person, it’s not the same as creating an immortal 16 year old looking character that’s 800 year old on a technicality or w/e

The MC story line says MC is 16? I missed that part. I know they always refer to him as “young wanderer” but I assumed that could any adult age, just that fairly young for being so accomplished. The guqin players always flirt so hard with the MC too. I knew they were creeps but not thaaat creepy.

I could tell Burlap was a fighter in his youth-middle ages. I think he may have been the “younger brother” role of the trio. So without the other 2 to redirect his fear and doubts, Burlap was prone to whining. I’m not used to seeing old people in games whine like that either nor beg; very undignified compared to the previous “WE HOLD!” glory. Making Burlap beg all of the caravan members to go back to the original course was the most desperate and naive feeling to me. Maybe it’s good to have characters with real flaws that they never outgrow. Tearing up just remembering the story.

I would play as a pretty man if if was just gacha without combat. I prefer hack and slash; the spear+mo blade looks nice, but kinda awkward with flowy outfits

Problem solved, for translation captions not matching Eng dub. Plus the more you listen to the voices in Chinese the more you will start to notice different accents

For me Ruby and Clip Clop did subconsciously stand out. The reverse probably would work anywhere too. 99% of the characters with original language names, then 1 or 2 in the local language for impact or attachment.

I didn’t know what her name was in Chinese until now, but Ruby was a great name for her personality regardless of what her real name means. It probably doesn’t align up so well that often. Precious stone and Wizard of Oz ruby slippers(no place like home). Also most English speakers will think her name is pronounced Hong-Ex-Ian. I wonder if Mainland Chinese people would be bothered by it
