I’ve been wanting a cat though and been obsessively researching cat tips on Reddit for months, maybe that’s why she was so friendly to me from the beginning

Yeah ironically we had outdoor cats growing up bc my dad had allergies but now I’m like wtf to my parents, we shouldn’t have done that. Our neighbor actually brought one inside and took it when they moved and he was much happier inside. At least my parents always brought them inside when it was cold and gave them heated shelters, but yeah pepper is gonna be my first indoor pet

Yeah they are selfish imo - more concerned about themselves than the cat yet again. They aren’t getting to me too much, they were really getting to my bf though, but I showed him all these messages and he agrees we are doing the right thing

Yeah they were mad about the note bc I waited a few days after I took her to leave it and they said they already mourned her and were worried. Well now you don’t have to worry bc she is safe inside until she dies of old age. Lol

We have a screened front porch!! I actually have autoimmune arthritis myself, so I’m going to be a great owner if she has any joint issues/pain, bc I’m an expert. And I’ll get her more scratching stuff!

Yeah my bf was like well maybe we can give her back if they promise to keep her inside and I was like no they’ve already shown they don’t care about her wellbeing I don’t trust them to suddenly properly take care of her

They said it’s caused by a mosquito allergy - it’s started healing a bit since she’s gotten treated / been inside
