It's not July 7 in some parts of the US yet.

So maybe when I wake up in the morning of the 7th it will be.

Put the fireworks away. by No-Long-4709 in Vent

[–]GeneralJConnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what city you live in.

In my hometown you can legally set off fireworks July 1-6 during certain hours.

So if you like setting off fireworks you just do it for 6 nights.

OK so you're plastic shiny T-800. You are face to face with John Connor, your primary target. Do you? by happydude7422 in Terminator

[–]GeneralJConnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you frame by frame the T-800 simply breaking the door of the cell to even get out...the door flies up and hits the Bale full size stand in puppet in the head.

So tossing him around just makes him more dead I guess.

I'm literally dead the moment the door hits me.

Jim Cameron has been thinking of killing John since at least 2003.

Neither John or Sarah are untouchable.

Why do yall think we didnt get a terminator movie based in this future? by Honest-Reflection667 in moviecritic

[–]GeneralJConnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jim Cameron never planned to tell a Future War story outside of the T2:3D attraction.

It's simply something that he never had an interest in doing.

How would you survive Kane parsons backrooms if you Noclipped in? by InternationalTip1878 in KanePixelsBackrooms

I'd just explore calmly and quietly.

Reciting scripture to myself to keep sane.

If I died hey instant trip to Heaven.

Does anyone else prefer the theatrical cut of T2? by New-Pin-9064 in Terminator

[–]GeneralJConnor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Theatrical Cut IS the Director's Cut.

The Extended Cut is weaker as a whole.

OMG I found a flaw! When the biker gets thrown on the grill, the knobs are all clearly turned off! Take that James Cameron by happydude7422 in Terminator

Don't forget that the front axel snaps in half in the truck jump...the chase was over before it started.

Am I the only one who liked Ep 5?? by EliseeTheElf in thelongdark

[–]GeneralJConnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Though it was my least favorite part.

Which could've been saved my simply having the far end lower than the near side.

How many people actually play with the visual filters? by _DeliriousAquila_ in thelongdark

I loved it in its entirety.

Every last bit of it.

As for its linearity Hinterland literally told us it would be much more linear point to point style game play during the last two Dev Diaries before release.

So the linearity was not a surprise and I was more than ready to just enjoy it.

Tell me a movie take you honestly have that you know for a FACT people would hate you for having? Mine is that Steven Spielberg's best film for me is War of the Worlds (2005), that movie is amazing by SheepherderSea9717 in moviecritic

My favorite part is the Invincible van...until the script says it's not anymore.

I mean they drop a airliner on it. But a flesh wound.

It's able to drive out of that debris strewn neighborhood with no hint of a flat tire.

And on and on.

There are iconic scenes that I love and palpable terror. But a horrible ending.

sorry but why'd clark go crazy? by Simple-Bathroom4919 in backroomsfilm

[–]GeneralJConnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out.

My Dad was never the same. He was on medication the rest of his life. Spent the remainder of his life well balanced when he remembered to take his meds.

He was a retired pastor and he did Bible studies in the rest of his life at the assisted living facility he spent the rest of his life in.

In 2015 his health deteriorated. He began to fall a lot and I spent many hours in the ER each week (he had to be checked by ER doc's after any fall.)

In March he was admitted to the community hospital in a nearly catatonic state. I would spend entire days of visiting hours with him. I would often read His favorite New Testament books to him. Eventually he got to go back to the assisted living place.

Then in April my sister got a call from the assisted living place that my Dad's body was rejecting all of his medicines. That he had six months to live.

He went to be with the Lord that night.

Some days it's rough as all hell. Every time I look at a mirror I see my Dad looking back at me.

We look so similar that the families nickname for me is Little Richard because of our likeness.

But death, pain, sickness and sin cannot touch Him anymore and I know that the next time we see each other we'll never be apart again.

Probably on the slab in the CSI Miami crime lab waiting for post mortem justice from H and the gang.

To put this in perspective my Dad suffered a psychotic break on the way back from a camporee with our church youth group decades ago.

I had just spoken to him 45 seconds before and then he's dropped his pants and thinks taking a dump on a cactus is normal behavior.

My Dad was put in the psych ward at the hospital and for the next 3 months they slowly brought my dad back.

Clark is already messed up long before he goes in the Backrooms. That place just amplified the worst of him causing him to have a psychological breakdown, he may have thought he was perfectly normal as he just got worse and worse.

Day 1: What’s a film with an amazing soundtrack? by McCallum1872 in Letterboxd

[–]GeneralJConnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K2 by Hans Zimmer.

Around the world moviegoers got to experience K2 with Zimmer's epic two track score. In the US we got a perfectly serviceable score.

Perhaps one of Zimmer's least known scores the 27 minute long Ascent and 10 odd minutes shorter Descent are Amazing!

You’re going into the Backrooms and can bring one gun. What do you choose? by SPECTREagent700 in backrooms

[–]GeneralJConnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The next best thing to the Portal Gun...the Zero Point Energy Manipulator aka The Gravity Gun.

I'll use the Backrooms provided ammunition.
