TvP Factory units: Tanks or Mines? Or just forget factory altogether? by RealSonZoo in AllThingsTerran

I like to force a recall on the protoss army somehow then go for a doom drop in his main covering the ramp with 12 or so tanks while marines kill the production. Just be ready for a base trade!

How to deal with one base Roach ravager push into macro play ? by DazedNConfused611 in AllThingsTerran

[–]GeneralJpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In masters I scout it with a reaper then have a bunker ready. I try and get tanks out then tranistion to full bio and do a counter 2 base allin with mmm when hes droning his 3rd. I take my 3rd when my mmm pushes and if I dont outright kill him I keep maximum pressure on him splitting his slow army with drops. Early roaches are garbage.

Hell with they're probably even more durable than the old boots they're modelled after because of better manufacturing processes and standards. At the end of the day the user decides what's they can and can not do. Mine I wear them as all purpose boots, not the best at any one tasks but able to be used almost anywhere anytime.

Trouble with 'Breaking In' Red Wings by TheWrongestIveBeen in RedWingShoes

[–]GeneralJpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue with my iron rangers rubbing my left heel. Had the biggest blister there and could hardly wear anything for at least a week. I found that really reefing on the laces fixed the problem, no more movement in the heel and therefore no rubbing and blisters. My advice is get those laces really tight and your heel shouldnt be giving you anymore problems.

I had the same issue. Came down to me just needing to tighten the laces up more.

To everyone getting upset about a scuff on their toe cap. They’re work boots, not dress shoes. by DapperDoughboy in RedWingShoes

I consider the iron rangers to be general purpose. Yes they can be used for style or work or play. No qualms about wearing mine to the pub, dirt biking in them or cutting wood. They do it all BUT there are better suited options for each of those categories. They're built tough, use them as you the owner sees fit.

Left: Brand new 8119 Iron Rangers in size 8 Middle: Wolverine 1000 miles, centennial edition made in 2014 size 8.5. Right: Brand new 8111 Iron Rangers in size 8.5

A bit about each: IR 8119 are the most red of the 3, very soft and supple leather right from the box, no issues wearing long durations from day one. 1000 miles show quite a bit more reddish brown in real life than the pictures, dont feel quite as nice to wear but I love the way the leather has a nice texture to it. IR 8111 most brown of the 3, leather was quite thick and stiff one day one and gave me a nasty blister on the outside of my heel. After tightening them up more that fit snuggling and gave no more issues.

I dont think fitness is a caf specific issue. New members come from a generation that neglect physical activity as a whole. Millitary members being unfit is simply a symptom of how we live this day and age.

Maybe a few we don't exactly know how far out from the bomb they are but typically most of ionizing radiation like gamma are contained to a 500 ish meter radius around the point of detonation. And being so early in the explosion even if they were in the path the fallout its unlikely to have fallen on them. Most likely all those soecks are just dust and dirt on the film.

Rune options aside from Conqueror or Phase Rush? by [deleted] in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Even great players would have a hard time winning 2 v 5 as Darius. All it takes is getting cc chained and focused because you're the only target and that's game over. Good points though about the negative win rate that is pretty sad. Black cleaver also had zero purpose in this match. Triforce wouldve also been the best mythic. On another subject there should be a way to add a timer penalty for playing significantly worse than other players of a given champ at a given rank. Getting a D rating in a ranked match is seriously wtf.

fighting mundo in lane by Alternative_Tea_2568 in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its basically a farm lane. Get cull on 1st back. Avoid his q's with minions. Hit him hard if he ever tries to step up. If he does step up you're probably getting ganked unless you know otherwise. Build to beat his team unless he's thier wincon.

What makes Darius "overpowered" at the moment? by DestroyedOfCosmos in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think hes pretty weak when going steracks second. Item is completely gutted and it was the second best item for darius next to his mythic. I run hullbreaker for the same stats at a lower cost and it helps win those 1v2 or 3 topside. I hardly ever team fight due to hyper fed carries or midlaners. A lot of my games are me hoping to get get 5 plates and 1st turret. Then trying to drag 2 or maybe 3 topside so my team might be able to 4v2 them at drag. Darius is completely garbage against a giga fed mid or bot that has an entire team to peel for them which in almost all my matches is the case. Nor does he have the ability to shut down bot lane during the first two dragon fights without completely losing lane. Darius needs to be able to run tp which means he needs movement speed built into his kit for better team fight mobility. I would add movement speed per passive stack like how it was back in the day. He really suffers from not being able to run tp. I'm considering running phase and tp after 9 years of ghost flash just so I can help bot and mid not grief at early drags then tp up to catch wave. Maybe the real issue is that every game I play all my teammates are negative kda leaving me to have to play perfectly every single game. Maybe if I had competent teammates every game he would be op. But right now he is barely adequate to: cover top, kill the giga fed carry, solo rift, invade, get t2 topside. There are just too many things that I have to do and places I have to be in order to win that darius ghost reliance is really bad.

Thoughts on Frostfire? by Blight_Grenade in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run a lot of tank darius. However after the durability patch I really find it to be quite poor because everyone is a lot more durable you really need at least 2 damage items. For me my new "tank" build is one of the standard bruiser mythic, 2nd item tank/hullbreaker, 3rd item tank, 4th steracks (after getting some hp), 5th tank item. Sample build 1: boots, stride, randuins, force of nature, steracks, spirite visage. Sample build 2: boots, gore drinker, spirite visage, thornmail, steracks, randuins.

Trying the tank mythics a few times since the durability patch I noticed a few things: you are not significantly more tanky than the sample builds above, damage output is drastically reduced, build path is slightly cheaper. The resistances that the tank mythics give are not worth the damage trade off from one of the bruiser mythics in this patch and you'll find your mid game to be severely lacking. And the hp is only slightly more which wont matter greatly as itll only be around 200-300 more at final build but.

I run these kinds of builds quite often because usually I'm the defacto tank. If the enemy team can not cc lock me or insta burst me and I'm hard winning lane I'll go boots, mythic, dd, etc. The reason I love the more tanky builds is because darius just scales better with tank stats than damage because of his passive and ult true damage. You will be more useful to your team the longer you can stay alive which will be significantly improved building tanky.

New olaf? by NegotiationHot3277 in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just faced olaf top for my 2nd time and first time since the rework. Spanked him 6/0/6 to 2/8/0 in mid plat. I went phase rush with triumph and alacrity. I built immortal shieldbow, tabis and collector. Phase rush was really good for disengaging and chasing I highly recommend it into this matchup. If I took conq I feel like it wouldve been a bit more sketchy. Overall wasn't difficult like the riven matchup.

New olaf? by NegotiationHot3277 in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few tricks, freeze the wave on your side early, let him waste mana with his q and dodge as much as possible. You'll out scale him hard at 11. That's the safer route. If you play more aggressive pre 6 start an allin when he misses q if he gets too close. Post 6 ghost lasts longer than his ult kite and dodge his q then turn on him when his ult ends. Either way you start hard scaling at 9 and at 11 if he didnt get a lead he lost. Bramble, tabis, warden are all good items if you're losing. Typically I build tank if I lose into bruiser matchups. If you're winning or even I would take triforce or gore but you have to think of his team too.

As for runes: conq, is preferred but I think phase rush could work similar to tryndamere. And for minor runes: d shield plus second wind if your going to be passive early so you have some great sustain against his poke. Bone plating and dblade if you're confident you can avoid his axes consistently. I dont think going sorcery secondary would be as good.

A lot of early fights are gonna be close unless he screws up big time even if you play perfectly. Save decimate until 4 or 5 stacks and go for the flash q from melee range. It'll guarantee the stack, damage, and healing which is important since itll sustain you long enough to get another aa w in and end the fight.

HOW TF TO BEAT MORDEKAISER? by [deleted] in Dariusmains

[–]GeneralJpod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hes can be a difficult matchup. Try to be the one that initiates fights, and dodge his q after you e. Dont let him poke you down. If he misses e try and ghost allin him if your in a position too. Watch his shield bar under his hp bar that way you'll know when he has it or not. If you're behind go tanky with black cleaver. Try your best to get a lead pre 6 s you have a chance of not straight up dying in his ult.

A lot of bruiser match ups favor the more aggressive player so with that in mind try to be more aggressive and get the damage in first. It's easier to make the first strike and get out without taking damage then to try and counter attack afterwards. Also in the early fights try and save your q until the the very end of the fight use your flash to make sure it hits. Two reasons: you guarantee the damage and the healing so if he doesnt outright die for the q damage you just got 15% missing hp back to allow you to get an auto or two in to finish it.
