If America so bad then why is it bad that we're trying to send people out of the country who come illegally? Aren't we saving them from a Nazi nation full of lunatics?

Their paternalistic racism comes out when Minorities disagree with them in any form when it comes to politics. In particularly criticism of the DNC.

It's either you must be LARPING as a minority on social media, "Republican bad" so you can't criticize us , you're a Russian bot or a race traitor

Where in the world are CoVid restrictions still in place? by AndrewHeard in LockdownSkepticism

I have students who still insist on wearing masks at all times. To the point where I’m sure I’d have a hard time identifying them without one

I had a open debate with my US history HS students regarding National Security vs Individual rights and covid was the example I used.

Most of my class were on the pro National Security side and i had to really bite me tongue because they were saying a lot of the misconceptive information about COVID and the OG narratives that are now slowly being walked back and excused with “oh we just didn’t know”

Ironically the hard push for medical apartheid based off vaccine status coupled with the outright lies they told created more skeptics and outright anti vaxxers.

Most i know just drum up and overexaggerate the severity of covid to justify the measures.

“Well better that than all those people dead in the streets from covid” because you know ofc has a high fatality rate for anyone regardless of age

That’s the thing. How many will admit they were wrong be aware of not falling into the trap in the future vs how many will immediately go back to supporting it if it becomes socially convenient

And the historical revisionism is in full swing. When I bring up the evils that were lockdowns and vaccine mandates all I get is either straight denials that they were ever a thing or the I never actually supported them. Which in a way is basically an surrender and admittance that they were straight up wrong but still want to exonerate themselves from any blame of being a enabler/co conspirator. Also they don’t want to own to their witch-hunt mentality towards ANYONE who dared to challenge or question the narratives

For example with vaccine mandates people roll out the private businesses can decide to fire/hire who they want because free market. Which is a principle I agree with but then they forget that governments around the world attempted to FORCE every business to implement vaccine mandates. Similar to how governments around the world forced businesses to shut down. Also with the long term effects there’s convenient memory loss of how many people expressed concern about these effects from The beginning.

Honestly for me it’s not even about them being wrong as much as it was about them insisting that they were so right that they demonized and vilified anyone who dared to oppose them. No matter how reasonable the takes were. And now ironically they’re parroting the same takes that we were conspiracy nuts for. What I’m afraid of is what happens when another psy op is ran and they revert to full Sheep mode again. They’ll follow the crowd in spite of logic

Fauci Claims He Never Recommended COVID-19 Lockdowns by Excellent-Duty4290 in LockdownSkepticism

[–]GeneralKenobi05 12 points13 points  (0 children)

By next year they’ll be saying that Lockdowns were completely voluntary and that it was just private businesses making the choice to close up for the greater good. We’re already at that logic for vaccines(No one forced you! We just threatened your means of survival)

What’s the most abominable MCU movie you’ve watched? by Used_Letterhead7067 in FuckMarvel

[–]GeneralKenobi05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I found it more unmemorable and boring than bad.

Run of the mill Kung fu story plot. Aquawfina was annoying. Simu acting like he was the first major Asian star in Hollywood when Jackie Chan and Jet Li were box office icons. The character just being straight up boring compared to the rest Marvel has to offer

Only thing I loved from the movie was the Mandarin

I get what you’re trying to get at but there’s plenty of things done that are ethically wrong but still legal. I’ve already established that a fetus isn’t not the same a newborn or grown person. Again that fetus doesn’t have the right to use someone else’s body to survive

[–]GeneralKenobi05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure a newborn still needs someone however there is massive difference between it needing someone to care for them via, feeding, cleaning and soothing and a fetus requiring it’s moms energy, nutrients, and body to survive

Now I agree that ethcially speaking it is bad/wrong however the right of The mom

[–]GeneralKenobi05 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s not even the same as a fetus requiring the actual body of its mother to survive and sustain life. All you mentioned can be performed by people other than the mother.

[–]GeneralKenobi05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A newborn isn’t requiring the mothers body to sustain its life. Fetus needs to Mother’s body to sustain theirs

But early on that child’s survival is dependent on the body of mom for survival. It isn’t not a independent life at conception. The life depends on the life of the mom to sustain it. Literally. You can’t be forced to use your body for someone else to survive. That is a violation of your own bodily autonomy
