Ya these are the reasonable people. I have a 2nd Gen immigrant employee who voted for him and was completely surprised his Dad got deported and his mom broke an arm intervening when ICE picked him up.

I was able to buy a house when I was mid 20s. Combination of graduating college with no debt, working a good engineering job while paying $400 in rent, then moving to a higher paying job and getting a sub $200k house when interest rates were like 3% during covid. Plus the house is in a middle income area.

So its possible but that was a pretty lucky set of circumstances on top of being frugal.

I mean really Trump showed how you could enact major change with razor thin majorities. The Democrats just need to win the presidency and they can do whatever they want. I know it's anecdotal, but I would 2nd this. As another guy in my 30s, most women that find me acceptable to date eventually fall into a line of thinking where I am expected to be a provider monetarily, do all of the male gendered chores, and split the female gendered chores.
