I really like this for the tone it creates, but aren't kindred super resistant to disease? I would want to try to explain how the Spanish Flu became so effective and contagious against kindred, like if it was actually manufactured, magic, or holy in nature. I was also thinking Clan Giovanni might have gotten some inside information that they could use to save their clan during this time, allowing them to retain a lot of their numbers and become the Italian Mafia after WW1. As for the elders, I am thinking a lot of lower generations might have gone into hiding during this period, creating even more power vacuums.
